Yeah they hired Matsuno (directed Tactics and XII) to help create them, but was always meant to be an alternate universe retelling. He also wrote the Bozja story, including the Save the Queen stuff, which apparently was an unused story idea for a potential Vagrant Story sequel.

I'll say this, if the Leafs come out tonight and play a very good game (even in a tight defeat) I'll be impressed. Do you mean new skills from weapons in FF7? When equipping/changing weapons they'd all have a little blurb to tell how using a new ability in a certain way would give massive boost to learning it. 1/2 fights tops for basically all the new skills.

The problem nowadays is they could have 9 to 1 sigs to change it back, the league will cater to the 10% just because if someone is offended, they can't have that. Maybe if/when Goodell finally retires?
