Because this kind of play is essentially a crowdsourced pyramid scheme and there's no way to guarantee that you aren't the one getting screwed. The value of your portfolio is all theoretical until someone on the other end buys it from you and you get to cash out. No one actually wants to own...

That's ambitious. Askren had his hip resurfaced in September, and as of November he could barely ride a stationary bike. You're not supposed to do high impact activity for a year afterwards. Boxing in April seems pointlessly rushed. The money must be amazing.

Any non-water soluble wood glue is fine, really. (Don't use hide glue.) Even with the ones that aren't explicitly food safe, it's not like you're going to be gnawing on the cutting board.

Being very sensitive to splitting the wood itself, I'd warm the joint with a heat gun or hair dryer and then gently and slowly pry it open with the thinnest knife/scraper/etc. I had that didn't feel like it was going to break. Most modern wood glues start to lose adhesion above 120-130 F or so.

If it split badly over that period of time, it's probably because you didn't oil it and then let water soak in to only one side during washing, which will cause the top face to expand. Even a cutting board made from totally green wood won't warp that badly that fast. Long grain cutting boards do...

I've been playing with my kids (9 and 6) for a while on a self-hosted server. We basically run vanilla rules with some minor quality of life concessions and technical optimizations. I don't have any references for SpaceX's process. Googling "explosive metal forming" will get you some basic examples. You can kind of see the geometry here with the orange and yellow channels around the bell, though it isn't interesting in this particular cross section. It's apparently much...

It's even crazier than that. There are all sorts of internal channels inside the bell for pre-heating fuel with the exhaust energy. The shapes are impossible to machine or cast using normal methods, so they actually form the core of the engine by wrapping the raw metal around explosives and...

You probably meant this, but to be clear for anyone not explicitly keeping score it's even stupider than Tesla's market cap being higher than any individual other car manufacturer. It's currently ~$200B more than Ford, GM, Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Nissan, Volkswagen, Fiat/Chrysler, and Peugeot...

I'd certainly try to get someone who's knowledgeable about milling to take a look at it before I burned it. Black walnut is probably overly fetishized but it is an objectively pretty furniture wood and increasingly rare. A fuckload. I got six or eight cords from my three oaks (60'-80', 3'-5'...

Another thing you can do is cut it into short rounds and split into firewood with an axe + maul + wedge. I had a couple oaks in my back yard I treated that way. it took a few months of working an hour or two at a time, but it was a relatively entertaining, different way to stay in shape.

Dunno if you'd have any luck trying to sell it, and you'll need to have it felled and de-limbed on your own dime, but I'd be shocked if you couldn't get someone to haul away the trunk in exchange for keeping the wood. You might even get them to make a table out of it for you. Big slabs are $$$...

Agreed, and I forgot to note this. An HSA that you don't use now is effectively an extra IRA from which you eventually must spend on eligible health care. The tax advantage can make a big difference in a few decades as long as you don't need the cash now. We're all near certain to incur large...

As long as you're maxing your tax-deductible contributions to HSA/401k it probably doesn't matter a lot either way. I don't think the power of front-weighting investments over an annual period is going to matter much relative to the tax deduction, espeically given that in equilibrium you'd have...

It's not hard, you just have to be careful. Do the geometry on paper and sketch the outline accurately on the workpiece. Work in from both openings and then connect the dots. What you posted would probably work fine as well. It's mostly an aesthetic choice.

Sorry, I wasn't quite clear. Both java and bedrock PC clients can open their single player worlds to the LAN for other people to join. You're probably not the target demographic. Even if a perfect self-driving car were released tomorrow and took a 100% share of new sales, we'd still see a 20-year transition period as the current auto fleet ages out. In practicality it will take longer than that unless some market force like...

Taxi companies or drivers won't be the ones owning the self-driving cars. Just like with human drivers, Uber/Lyft give no fucks for regulation. 99% of my car trips are under a mile. Also, the reason cabs are currently expensive is that a human has to drive them. If you're just charging for the time cost of the automated fleet, prices will plummet.
