Yeah, I feel the same. Now the Pats did have significantly more trouble to convert 3rd downs, and weren't able to stop the Packers on 3rd downs either. That never bodes well and it was a surprise the game was so close after all. Mostly thanks to the excellent red zone defense.

That's how you recognize an elite team, right? I'm as happy as any Pats fan with the form the team is showing the last 3 games, but it's still a long season and every game is different. Sure I'll hope the hot streak will last until February 2nd 2015, but that's not realistic.

If it's any consolation, Sutehk: Pats have Jerod Mayo and Stevan Ridley also out for the season with torn ACLs.

3AM, so I really need to get to bed. Extrapolating from the current score, it's a 56-0 win for the Pats when I wake up. GG!

    NFL 2014 - 2015 Season Thread

(American) Football caught my eye about 10 years ago, and Brady / Patriots were the most visible then. I'm well aware there was an end to come to that era (just hoping it's not this year yet). I can only be so happy the NFL didn't pique my interest in the early nineties! Next week vs Bengals...

Well to be fair, the Pats lost last year too at Miami, so it obviously would be a tough game to win. But 2nd half was horrible: offense was anemic and Moreno gets like 8yds per carry.

To translate from Icelandic: 3rd turnover for the Dolphins and we're just halfway the 2nd quarter. Idon'tlike.

    Travelling in California

Yeah, whoever tells you "oh you can easily do everything on foot in SF" is talking bullshit. It's just too big and too hilly for that. BART service was excellent, and even with MUNI on strike for a day (sometime in the first week of June) there was enough service to wait until there was a train...

    Pacific Coast Highway - September

Just shows how high the standards are we hold a Canadian to nowadays. I am disappoint. As for some actually useful info: this spring we drove a camper from Lake Tahoe over Sacramento to Napa valley to Bodega Bay on the Pacific coast, then south over the US1 (SF, Santa Cruz,...). Lake Tahoe is...

    International Travel for n00bs

Jet lag: much worse for me when flying from the US to Europe. 2 short days with a short night (usually on the plan) inbetween is harder to adjust to than 1 very long day. Money: credit cards are as widely accepted as in the US, so pay with those if you can. Else you can pay with a debit card...

By age 11 a good scout could spot a potentially professional soccer player. So structurally the US needs a) a scouting network and then b) some structure (soccer academies or whatever) to help those kids develop into professional soccer players. There, you have your plan to develop into a top...

Well I started watching the Superbowl around 2004, so I guess I was a Pats bandwagon fan of those days, and that they are from the most 'European' part of the USA did indeed solidify my team choice. 2013-2014 was the first I really following game after game throughout the season, mostly thanks...

GG USA. We deserved the win, but Howard was great and we missed a bit of sharpness and luck to get that goal in before the 90 minutes were over. The US played with all their heart. Klinsmann is doing a good job and now it's just important to develop those younger talents. Also happy we...

True that Belgium hasn't been able to execute plan A yet (which is to just dominate, create chance after chance and score one, two, three), since Lukaku has been a let down for 2 games. It's nonsense that "they haven't sorted themselves out as a team yet". Team spirit has never been better and the team's configuration has been constant over the last 2 years.
