Belgians visiting USA: NYC, SF and national parks

Nice, about 500 turbines there. That's exactly what I was thinking the US could do with all that empty land available. Edit: We just missed that. Drove south on the 14 but exited to see California City which was featured in a Belgian documentary (Desert Haze) we saw shortly before our trip...

    Penny Dreadful

The whole Vanessa - Mina - Sir Malcolm Murray - Devil possession backstory is fully explained in episode 5. Murray looks for extraordinairy muscle to take on Mina's kidnapper/possessor so he hires Chandler. And to dissect the first vampire's corpse Murray needs the services of the best - and...

    Penny Dreadful

I loved this episode. Had me glued to my chair. Surely helped I watched it at 2AM. Still, the acting and writing is superb. It's hanging in the background, via short flashbacks. Also this last episode ended with Vanessa's memory of the werewolf play and the phrase"There cannot be a happy end...

    WORLD CUP 2014 - BRAZIL

I guess the bookies take the possibility of collusion into account, comparable to the shameful Austria vs. West-Germany game in 1982. That would be extremely unsportsmanlike though (and even illegal). On the other hand, I'd love Belgium to play against the USA! ................. Bring...

    WORLD CUP 2014 - BRAZIL

Our strategy seems to be waiting until the final 15 minutes before shifting 2 gears higher (which is not hard, since our pace is glacial at first) and scoring just the needed amount of goals. Very boring game for the first 75 minutes though.

I wouldn't consider 1 pushy text "going nuclear". Her 2nd text was already 'ok then I'll pick up my stuff and so long'.

This. No woman - not even the cool, evenheaded ones - will ever get a good feeling out of you telling her something like that. It's not too late to save the relationship, but you have to show her you're sorry and you like her (some kind words, flowers, ...),nottell her "chill out, I got this".

Belgians visiting USA: NYC, SF and national parks

We were in Zion on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend though. According to one of the shuttle drivers, there were 30000 visitors in the park at that moment. If you've been on Angel's Landing, you know the last part is a steeper rocky part with a chain as handhold. There was a constant flow of...

Sure, there you go, that pink dot at the bottom of Bridalveil in Yosemite. Kidding, that was a dude way out there on the rocks. Another dude a bit on the right. So we're back and the trip went smoothly. Drove exactly 3033 miles in total. Itinerary in bullet points: SF - Lathrop...

    The Beer Thread

Duvel is one of the best liked beers here in Belgium too. Very full - yet smooth - taste. Pretty high alcohol percentage though (8.5%), be mindful of that. Talking about alcohol percentage, we were travelling in the West last month, but never found the alcohol percentage of the beers on the...

    WORLD CUP 2014 - BRAZIL

Belgian here, so obviously pumped with the WC. Vibe in the Belgian team is very good at the moment and the team spirit is strong. Main points to still work on are concentration in defense and efficiency in offense. My predictions for the top 2 in the groups: Group A: Brazil Croatia...

Duel of Champions (Might @Magic F2p CCG)

forget my advice here, I've been playing all evening with it in the suisse and maybe won 30% of my games. Decks in that form sucks. Guess I was thrown off by the 7 win streak a few days ago. Turbo's version might be better, but then you're indeed looking for a lot more rares and epics.

Duel of Champions (Might @Magic F2p CCG)

Yep, that's the deck I've had the most success with too in the last 10 days. Cheap to make really. I don't have Might of the Tribe, and only 1 Blackskull and 1 Enraged Cyclops, but it works pretty well. Although the 2 swisses I played I lost badly against demon decks. Those decks can come out...

Duel of Champions (Might @Magic F2p CCG)

Yeah, the new demon deck is expensive. I have mostly played Dhamiria before last week's patch, so I have a decent set of Inferno cards, but none of the good HoN ones yet (just bought 1 box). I played a bit with that deck in the current Standard environment, but it did not perform as well as...

Faroe Islands have been in it a long time, I remember Belgium playing them in the '80s and '90s. Gibraltar is new to the EUFA and were actually first drawn in the group with Spain but then moved out because of political reasons.

That worked, thanks a million, Pyros! The Kilburn conversation was reset and evolved into the 'search for Montbard' quest (side effect of the fix is that you can keep doing the conversation). Just killed the Lost City guards and got the key. I think I know how I broke the quest: after my...

I'm having trouble gaining entrance to the Lost City. After meeting Kilburn I cleared a way to the cave with the ghouls and skeletons, but at the gate to the Lost City I need a key I don't have. Searching the interwebs, this videoshows 2 guards spawning, one of which drops an Iron Key...

Belgians visiting USA: NYC, SF and national parks

Plans changed a bit: we'll be skipping NYC for this trip and just do 3 weeks (May 12th - June 4th) of traveling through the South-West, with an RV (CruiseAmerica Intermediate model E27, since it was cheaper that period than the smaller models). 3 weeks will give us enough time to travel at...

Ok, now that is useful info. I haven't driven an RV in my life.
