I like the idea of raids being hard and not for everyone. I see no reason why they shouldn't give the option for matchmaking though. Implement an item level check to at least make sure the player has good enough gear to do the raid. People pug raids all the time for hours in other games.

If you are playing this game you are playing it for the PVP and drama from that. You also get a world that isn't phased up the wazoo. The combat sucks IMO and so does the questing. The questing is a very small part of the game and you can grind if you want.
