For having started out as half a step above a throwaway character Nog had, from episode one to the show's conclusion, a major character arc. I really like the episode where he and Jake end up on the USS Valiant behind enemy lines with all the 24th century Hitler Youth kids who get themselves...

Changes are not in the cards but I do like how on retail if there's an imbalance you get a scaling bonus for turning on PvP. For the low low price of getting popped three or four times while leveling I was getting I think 30% bonus exp? You can give people reasons to be the underdog. With very...

    World of Warcraft: Classic

Warhammer Online had a good idea when they tried to go the mass PvP route. It's too bad it didn't work. A game that was all about literal army versus army combat would be really cool.

They love the film and their re:view is a glowing endorsement. Hopefully once it makes it past the automated part and an actual human being at WB sees what's going on they drop the claim.

Not having a from-stealth opener and a real (non-dot) finisher until level 32 was sorta lame but no complaints thus far. Being able to do all the things is sorta neat. edit - bear tanking seems fine

The interludes are some of my favorite parts of the book. Not doing more than an easter egg or two was such a mistake. How about this. Between the first and second films we film as a YouTube short Mike's grandfather telling him the story of The Fire at the Black Spot. Grandpa is in a hospital...

Going some version of the LFR/Normal/Heroic/Mythic difficulty slider I don't think would be anywhere near as popular as a blanket Vanilla+ hardmode.

    World of Warcraft: Classic

EverQuest eventually introduced substantial +difficulty buffs to bosses to compensate for similar issues. When a new wave of Vanilla servers comes out some time a year or years from now I wouldn't be surprised at all if it had some variety of hard-mode raid difficulty modifier.

I've been through the 1st edition Tomb of Horrors I think twice. One run was serious and the other was a bunch of grabass. Quite a few years after I got myself a hold of the module and started reading through it. This passage here stood right out - The Tomb of Horrors may be many things but...

    Doctor Sleep (2019)

I've read some of King's writing on, um, writing and he is of the opinion that evil is ultimately childish, petulant and self-destructive. Randall Flagg's plans have to crumble to dust because he's evil. Creation is an impossible task for him. His very essence runs counter. That being a theme in...

    Doctor Sleep (2019)

King's written some of my favorite stories ever. It's just that when he fucks up he fucks up really badly. His books are often too long, a few of them are kinda dumb and when you mix in a really shit ending you've got yourself quite the problem. "The man in black fled across the desert and the...

Finished season two, liked it, have no idea what was up with the lesbian subplot. It was like Netflix gave her the contractually obligated amount of screen time to maintain Anna Torv's contract? I thought it was really, really bad. It had a good mix of practical effects and CGI. The sound design was really good. I could see its budget up there on the screen. It was just too fucking long and the dialogue was awful on top of it not being scary at all. The first 20 minutes were really...

They need to just give up the removal of layering for phase two and take the servers up to their max technological capabilities. You can make the removal of layering a goal for the future but the value in setting that as a fixed event in phase two is a mistake. Frame it as a compliment. "We knew...
