Shrug, heard that in the past - but remember tech keeps rolling along and it's stayed steady at $300 for quite a while now - they probably have some wiggle room but thats entirely just theorycrafting on my part, no idea of the reality of how much they have.

Well do keep in mind, there is a chance for a price drop on PS3's announced today as well - but yea without dropping PS3's price down to $199 I don't see $299 happening even if they could afford it.

I've been seeing some quotes of reliable people quoting parts costs for PS4 at $279 or so - low enough he thinks that they could do $299 or $349 in fact! And that same person was quoting parts for XBone at $447 or something where he expected $499 - which seems to have come true... I don't...

They already made a nothing by default with it being up to the publishers statement in the initial announcement. So probably some developers even at worst won't do it on PS4 - assuming it's even remotely bad.

And it's confirmed Vita Remote Playable (of course it was sounding everything PS4 will be) - that sounds goddamn heavenly. So getting a Vita after E3 confirms/denies price drop in some way.

He was talking more about them blacking out any PS4 coverage not that they would be hiding PS4 ability to run some stuff - I do agree it would be easy to say "PS4 too!" on stuff.

Supposedly they've made a quote that might imply a potential of revising it - it was along the lines of "Remember we can opt to change our terms at any point" - or something like that, of course it leaves the awesome interpretation of "We can say it's gone, launch without it, and then turn it on...

Well, it's not "free forever" - it's "free forever" as long as you have an active PS+ subscription. (Although if you let it lapse and come back - the "purchased via PS+" titles aren't removed they're just paused until you're PS+ again) Your wording would imply you could sign up for 1-3...

I'd be hesitant to assume they're going to if that rumor of them paying off vendors is remotely accurate - after all the simplest "skewing" in presentation is to be "selective" about what you show. (i.e. See FoxNEWS or MSNBC)

I can agree with that, Binkles - but if you just came on board with LH - there was a quantum leap from Elemental -> FE base and a relatively large one from FE to FE: LH. They're absolutely making amazing progress towards a great vision, their track isn't the quickest but they definitely are...

I'll be holding off till next month for budgeting purposes, but assuming it's a reasonable offering in line with whatever price announcement they might have at E3, I might be game in July.

I feel the opposite myself, XBox always felt like a steering wheel to me - but I don't have monster hands. There has never been a shortage of 3rd party controllers regardless though.

That fits my gut on things, especially with Kinect being packaged with XBone and Eye not being packaged with PS4. I would hope the contract version of the XBone is cheaper than $300 w/ 2 years at $15/mo though - closer to $250 would be a reasonable gouge for the contract ($110 of gouge)

If they're being antiethical to the intent to E3, they should be - the city is the one that runs it, no? I know when similar has occurred at Pharma conventions that are equivalent that Pfizer and some others have been booted for a few years.

If that's true and proven they should get barred from E3 - that's not the point behind E3 in the slightest. It's outdoing by innovation and coolness - not underhanded trickery to fool consumers out of money. If true and proven and E3 doesn't give them the boot, I'll lose any faith in E3.

Couldn't get into LoL to relate - but for a single pack of 10 cards, about 2 trials/PVP matches is a standard pack. To get the other starters is the only large grind - and that's only like ~10 matches/trials or so.

Yep, got probably 30 sitting there as "purchased" that I can re-DL after they left the store that I've not DLed yet. (And a handful that I deleted because I accidentally let the DL run, heh) Just make sure it lists it as "Purchased" in place of the "DL" button and it's set IIRC.

You just need to flag them to download to "save them" for a future Vita technically - didn't need to clutter your drive.
