I wouldn't disagree with that - their power level for the starters is incredibly far out of whack - that would be my thought on the why of it. But with how powerful they are, there really should be some level of hate to bring them in line. Similar to how Energy in its case is quite well...

I expect the family thing to have catches that they're not stating ATM there's no way they'll let one copy be used by 10 people in different households without a hell of a catch. Only theory I can think of is they might allow it past a certain age for a game to semicompete with PSPlus.
