Yeah, compared to an original S, a G2 would be a huge upgrade. Compared to my wife's S3 it was a sidegrade at best and then moving to the S5 was significantly better. The G2 is probably on par with an S3 or so from my experience.

My wife had a G2 for about 6 months in-between hher Samsung S3 and now S5. She didn't like it at all. Battery life was mediocre and the camera was terrible. That's pretty much her two biggest priorities for a phone, and both were lacking compared to Samsung phones, so we switched her back.
