The new limited format is so close to being awesome. The one actual problem is the density of almost unbeatable rares/mythics is extremely high. I mean I get that it's "fair" if every deck has 1 or 2 of those cards, but it makes for some really shitty individual games.
Standard is pretty good right now and has been since the last set of bannings. I think there's enough real decks that there won't be one overwhelming deck until at least the next set.
They banned Marvel pretty early, but they didn't ban that other shit until later. Was the January 2018 B&R update I think. Also energy is a dumb mechanic. Anytime you can get around normal mana costs it's dangerous. Almost all the major fuckups have been this sort of thing. Phyrexian mana...
There's always going to be best cards in sets. If there's sets where nothing is good enough even for Standard then that's just as bad as having over pushed nonsense.
Yeah this is exactly why the Basketball HoF is a joke. There's 178 out of 4k or so all time players. Closer to 5 percent. It's retarded. The NFL HoF is mostly alltime greats but there's a handful of dudes there for other reasons. You will sometimes get the Eli's and Namaths for narrative...
So many CCGs back then. Spellfire did predate Magic though. I tried so many of those games and almost all of them were so bad. Overpower, Middle Earth, Star Wars, Star Trek, Wyvern, Jyhad, etc.
She's fit and has a good body so she's not a pig but she's a shitty actress that's maybe the worst part of a show that people are invested in so that'll certainly detract.
Making it harder to get in just ends up with you having people being left out that should be in over people that already are in. It's not really something you can do unless you want to prune people and that will never happen. Does anyone really think people are too dumb to know that there's a...
Yeah for absurd large/long contracts his has actually been fairly reasonable compared to most. It still feels absurd to me in general how baseball contracts work. They play in the minors for awhile and then play through a baseline prearbitration contract, then an extension, then they finally...
Sure and obviously they have a following and they're probably actually pretty fun to make so not sure there's a real downside for him. People like these movies for what they are and there's nothing really wrong with that. It's not like they pretend that these things are Schindler's List.
Some of that is writing is easier when you write about shit you know about. Part of it is pandering and having some different shit would certainly be nice.
There's a number of dudes that took his route. Start out as a reasonable sports journalist then learn that the money/popularity is in the "hot take" clickbait bullshit and this is the kind of shit that happens. It's embarrassingly ridiculous and isn't just sports journalism. It's all over and...
Would rather give up on Tua than have to trade the farm for him. And if there's a push for him it seems likely that it'd be at 3 right? Not drafting Young at 2 seems real bad.
Tua has the highest ceiling of the 3, but obviously the lowest floor with the injuries. I don't think Herbert sucks necessarily, but he's definitely not the prospect that Tua or Burrows is. Not every successful QB was a top of the first round dude though so some of them obviously work out.
