They are very comparable. The 'free' downloads are incentives to continue purchasing goods/services from each respective company. One system is modern, tailored to current customer value perceptions. It's not so much about complaining as it is about criticizing their terrible business practices. There's a lot more going on than weak hardware at Nintendo that keeps them playing second fiddle to Microsoft and Sony, and this is a perfect example.
