Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

Weird. I could have sworn the guy showed probability dropping. Or maybe he swapped the pictures? Anyway, good to know.

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

There's a video I've seen with a guy who did a speedrun for flying mounts and tested on starting pals, no combat (apparently, you can hold your pal sphere on a target to see your current chance, something I never did). Once he consumed his lifmunk statues, the capture chance displayed dropped by...

Six (or is it seven?) ore nodes. Plus an extremely defensive position. The author also uses it to cheese the lvl 12 mini boss by aggroing and running into the base so that all his pals pile up on him, and get an easy kill/capture.

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

I may have restartitis, but that starting base location does look awesome. All you lose is the traveling merchant who can't find a way to your base once you establish it. (and I can confirm that the miniboss does, in fact, like to come around and suntan on the hill where he builds his house...

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

There is probably a minus sign instead of a plus somewhere. Or vice-versa. Right now, the effigies are sitting in my inventory, and I'm not touching them.

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

There are probably big meetings about "why haven't we done an openworld survival Pokemon game yet?". If you skim a lot over the Pokemon lore, you could certainly make one. As the now-censored mod attest, strip the "with guns" for the "kiddies" aspect, rename sanity into something less...

They were looking to sell "that tabletop stuff" since 2020. COVID delayed things, then their cashflow problems came around.

    Interesting, Non Political News

I've seen enough "urban utopias" to know they usually fail rather badly, because the designers never understand people. Last one I watched a doc about was the Amsterdam "utopian quarter", which turned into a crime-infested hellhole, attracted only immigrants and became a ghetto.

Since Tencent needs some more money after being hit by Chinese Regulations, they probably got marching instructions. That's also why Legends of Runeterra isn't surprising, since China doesn't want lootboxes.

Yes. The video above does a good summary of the sheer amount of assets that were used to make the trailer. It's all Unreal assets and animations, no sign of an actual game.

It's actually a google translate of Turkish (that's where they are). It's supposed to be "Middle Ages", not Middle Earth. Somehow. They started five years ago as a one-man turkish guy making a MMO. Then the "business" side went in, the original EQ-style MMO got cancelled, and you had Quinfall...

    LitRPG

There are a few proto-LitRPG around that came out in the 20th century. People often call Larry Niven's Dream Park (1981) as the first LitRPG, as it revolves entirely around people playing a LARP in the eponymous park, in a future where augmented reality LARP is a big thing. You often see Joel...

    LitRPG

It's quite different. LitRPG is a subset of Progression Fantasy, where the focus is about the pursuit and growth of personal power (or proxy personal power) within a setting. LitRPG achieves this progression through RPG rulesets, whether they work in a game ("old style LitRPG" or "VRMMO"...

Although modern historians seem to have debunked the myth of slave armies building the pyramids. It was mostly peasants (like almost all of them) mobilized while the Nile was overflowing, their fields were being fertilized, and they had little else to do. Mind you, that's almost the same thing...
