I play every iso-rpg that I can get my hands on and when I tried the beta for Solasta, I really enjoyed it. It's a fantastic game given how tiny the dev team is. I'll be buying it on day 1.

Had mine a few days and they're intended to be sprinkled in or run individually. You might be able to string them together but it'd take a lot of work and still it'd feel contrived. Not to mention, I'd balk at playing Medieval Scooby-Doo for a year straight.

I don't agree with that sentiment. I fully believe that Larian truly wants to create a fantastic 5E game. They're investing plenty of resources into doing so. However, after playing the demo for ~50 hours, I feel it's lacking something that really captures the essence of the first two games...

I've been monitoring this thread against my better judgment and I've finally cracked; I'm going to DL the game again and check out my Wizard. I think I'm level 58 or 59, but I haven't played the game since the Summer of '15 or '16.

AAW makes pretty good stuff and this looked cool enough for me to back. It was funded within hours of launching so that's a good sign.

Ya. They're very similar to the Pathfinder Pawns, but..better. Front/back art, much more sturdy, clear background, the die cut hugs the outline of the art. I should have mine in hand by Saturday.

Agreed. Mechanically, I loved DoS: II. And, despite finishing the game, I found much of the story terrible. Obviously, some of the game was really dark, but the slapstick comedy and whimsical tone just aren't for me. DoS: II with a much grittier story (and art direction) with a PF or 5E...

My pre-built system arrived yesterday, but I had no idea what 3080 was going to be in it. It ended up being a TUF gaming. Those are actually really good cards and run very cool. Satisfied.

I couldn't disagree more. Leveraging the tabletop aspect is a huge component in the success of these games. The core fan base of isometric RPGs don't want less "dice," they want more.

Icewind Dale is definitely one of the weakest games listed here, but I thoroughly enjoyed it as a teen because I was just happy to be adventuring in the stomping grounds of Drizzt, Wulfgar, Bruenor, Regis, and Cattie.

Having played and beaten every game you've mentioned in this thread, I'd probably play them oldest to newest. As much as I love BG I/II, Torment, etc....the graphical fidelity and refinement of modern, isometric RPGs will definitely diminish the experience of older games if you play the new ones...

Yep. Just turn on Kingdom Management auto-play very early. It's still possible to fuck yourself if you don't do it soon enough.

Agreed. I've also played every edition and 2nd was a head and shoulders above 1st. I have very good memories of it. It didn't hurt that guys like Elmore and Parkinson did a lot of the art.

Calves are ridiculously impacted by genetics. Probably more so than any other muscle. A lot of Black guys will attest to that first-hand because the ability to develop big, thick calves is even more uncommon for them than other populations. *edit* fixed a grotesque grammar mistake.

Agreed, but I need a second monitor. If that LG (or any other strong, cheaper monitor) is as good or better, it doesn't make sense to pay the premium for another Predator.
