Most underrated and overrated movies ever

Underrated: Adaptation. Best movie Charlie Kaufman has written, change my mind.

    Disenchantment

Watched one episode, very meh. Humor is very much modern Simpsons, and falls far short of Simpson pre-season 10 or Rick and Morty. Fairly generic fantasy and character types.

The Wire: Greatest Show Ever Made

Bosch is a pretty good cop show like the wire (although not as good), and they re-use a lot of wire actors: Marlo, Levy, Gus Haynes, Daniels, Ziggy Sobotka etc.

    Wild Wild Country

finished watching it, pretty good overall. definitely seemed the only one who truly learned something and came out better was Mrs Stork, the lady with the kids, even though she was pretty crazy too.

    Arrested Development

watched a few episodes, definitely not what it used to be. characters seemed over the top this time, and interactions just disjointed. like when michael meets the family again was just cringey and not in a funny way.

E3 2018 Hype and Train-Wreck Thread (Place your bets!)

so far the only mildly interesting game seems to be cyberpunk2077, the rest is basically just IPs that should have been ended a long time ago.

    History of FoH

Didn't FOH really start way back in Ultima Online although under a different name? I remember Krurk taking over FOH with Furor quitting for a while, and was summarily kicked out with Furor coming back? The epic flame wars on the original noows forum, especially with Dark Age of Camelot...

    Deadpool 2 (2018)

Movie was pretty meh. Sound track wasn't too bad, plenty of nice pop-culture references but just doesn't do as good of a job as GOTG weaving them into the dialogue, and doesn't mix seriousness with jokes in a clever way. The seriousness that is in falls flat, and the gags are too hamfisted and...

Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian's new CRPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate

Finished the game. Felt overall pretty lackluster, the final boss fight didn't really have any build-up and just felt like an obstacle more than an amazing finale. I can only agree with what most people have already said, the game seemed shorter than the first one, and just too easy. The...

Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian's new CRPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate

definitely seems like one is levelling way quicker than POE1, and there was some challenge up to about level 9, but since then encounters have not been up to par at all. it's really annoying to go through the intro sequence of walking along the spirit path, talking to the pallid knight, the...

Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian's new CRPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate

but that's how it works in essentially every RPG, one figures out that 80% of the spells are worthless and in the end you use 4-5 of them over and over.

Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian's new CRPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate

Loot was disappointing in DOS2 as well. This game has way more variety in gameplay, and world exploration. Thus far, playing with only story characters, this game is way harder than DOS2, which was easy on hardest difficulty and lone wolf.

Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian's new CRPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate

The enemy ship combat AI feels kind of dumb/random, some weird decisions made there. Pillars of eternity 1 and likely 2 is definitely solo-able, even on hardest, but as with BG, it requires quite a bit of detailed game knowledge or will take a long time to solo. There's no "solo option" like in...

Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian's new CRPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate

Thus far the amount of text-based events seems greatly increased, with the adventure map travelling, the design of the text-event interactions in general gives a feeling similar to the Merecaster system in Tides of Numenera rather than POE1. The graphics seems in general a bit more similar to...

Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian's new CRPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate

I think Carnage is actually gonna be the first of everyone to play it, others are coming in on Saturday. probably because he's been playing through POE1 the last couple of weeks.

Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian's new CRPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate

Seems the streamer cohhcarnage is getting his hands on an early pre-release, and is gonna start streaming the full game on Friday for a full playthrough. Looks really interesting, with no more resting for spells, no two different health pools, walking around on the map, boat stronghold...

Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian's new CRPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate

I think the game was pretty good, at least the best attempt to get back to the Baldur's Gate theme of old, that people were wanting. Pause-and-play is just far superior to round-based, and if you know how to use AI, and have a strong party, smaller fights go quickly and you don't need to...

For me it's 50% the game, then 40% if they're funny, 10% if they have a chat with good bantz and that the streamer interacts with. as for women streamers, been watching a little alarashade, playing some pretty good old school games sometimes, but often gets to be too much laughter/giggling

    Bright (2017)

dislike walls of text in the beginning of movies to explain. good movies do it without the text, introducing you seamlessly to the world... not that this was really a good movie, but some fresh ideas and at least trying on some points.
