    Fallout 4

It's not necessarily about hiring more writers and designers. I don't think obsidian had many more writers than Bethesda, but they showed that if you have competent people who really care about a product, you can push out much more compelling storylines and game-mechanics, which is why New Vegas...

    Fallout 4

So has there been any talk of whether Obsidian is gonna try to make a more proper version of this game?

    Fallout 4

Not sure I'm liking the storyline too much so far. Does Bethesda have some kind of fallout world father-son relationship theme going on?

Reviews are starting to come in, so far seems like a pretty lukewarm reception. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/crimson_peak/

    Shadowrun Returns

Hong Kong was a solid game, but the story narrative seemed to rely a bit too much on just rehashing elements that worked for dragonfall. old man having started something a long time ago with which he has grievances etc. also the text in the game could have used some editing to shorten it down.

    Shadowrun Returns

A pretty good effort so far, and they definitely made decking more interesting. In some ways the story does feel a bit more rail-roaded than dragonfall, at least so far in the beginning. otherwise, solid. never had any problems with bugs in these games.

Science!! Fucking magnets, how do they work?

There are always possibilities for error, whether it is an enzyme putting nucleic acids in a certain order, or a person standing by a conveyor belt assessing product quality. It's because it's all chemistry in the end, nanobots too. They might decrease error in DNA replication, but not...

    All Stephen King Books

yeah, it never feels like there's much danger for the main characters. any problems that arise are almost immediately resolved. he props up the villains as cunning and dangerous, but at the same time humanizes them and has them mostly just bumbling around.

    All Stephen King Books

Decided to pick up doctor sleep, my first since the dark tower books. pretty disappointing as a sequel to the shining, which was very enjoyable. the modern stephen king seems so different to the stephen king of old.

Baldur's Gate 3 by Larian Games

yeah, feels like a pretty unnecessary interlude in the baldur's gate story. maybe it's time for a new series in the forgotten realms. The Huzuz trilogy!

    Jurassic Park 4

went in not expecting anything special, and was not surprised. even though people on the internet have been praising it in general. in the end, the original did everything interesting with dinosaurs, the sequels have been nothing but pale cashgrabs riding on its coat tails. sure, it tried some...

    Stephen King's The Dark Tower

insomnia, the stand, the shining are examples of decent endings. he can do good endings, but unfortunately the dark tower wasn't one of those occasions. the story just felt like it fell apart at song of susannah.

    Stephen King's The Dark Tower

I think wolves of the calla was still fairly decent, but after that the books went downhill fast. if the author basically apologizes for the ending in advance, that seems to me as a huge red flag, indicating he wasn't happy with what he wrote but didn't want to bother to change it. the whole...

Yes he was Marten Broadcloak and the man in black too. But not the crimson king.

    Stephen King's The Dark Tower

Yeah they were revised after the last book. I wonder if they'll make a movie of the last book, and if they'll have king playing himself, and if he'll also apologize for the ending just before it ends, as in the book.

    Fallout 4

True, looks basically like New Vegas with some enhanced graphics mod. Also seems like civilization is taking hold more and more. Less apocalyptic wasteland and more steampunk dystopia or something.

    Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

Good movie overall, although the ending felt kind of lackluster. interesting thing about "the endless salt" or whatever, that supposedly stretches on forever. would that mean that the oceans have somehow evaporated or greatly diminished.

Unfortunately, there is a biological basis for race.http://time.com/91081/what-science-s...-and-genetics/. It's social scientists who pretend there isn't one because it's not a socially acceptable thing to say, usually. That's true, there is actually no divide between the sciences in as such...

    Fallout 4

I really liked the overarching storyline of dead money, old world blues and lonesome road with elijah, ulysses, the couriers etc. felt like a really strong complement to the main story of NV. honest hearts felt like kind of stand offish compared to the others.
