I gave away my beta account. FF11 was a shitheap, I don't think this will be any better. The combat is laughable. I think the last FF game I enjoyed was FF3, but then again I was 14 and the target audience.

There needs to be a middle ground between something like EQ2, which had entirely too many keybinds, and this game and other games like it. DFUW feels a lot like GW2, where you're using the same exact skills the entire time you play the game. With everything else having some progression to it...

My experiences in FF11 was about 10 hours spent killing crabs followed by 5 hours killing something else. The next thing to kill was a different colored crab so I quit outright. Not sure how anyone made it past that.

Think of anything you want to do in the game OTHER THAN drive to point A or shoot monsters. You can't do what you just thought of.

If you're going to limit inventory space so much we need to be able to salvage things in a single click. Let us unsalvage the last 5 things in case something is trashed on accident. I shouldn't have to click through what, 3 or 4 prompts to get rid of an item.

I definitely stopped gaining LMG skill with my maxed LMG. Bought a new one that's much worse and it started going up, then got lucky on a drop and got another nice 400 dmg one.

Darkfall is just really bad as a game. If you can get 100% of your kicks by just doing PVP and absolutely nothing else - it could be for you. It's a game with probably around 5% of the content of something like WoW. Horrible crafting, horrible skill tree, uninspired races, horrible weapons...

I knew that the mystic performed well once you reached the end game, but I ran out of steam in the 40s. Nobody I game with would touch this thing with a 10 ft pole, so I was constantly trying to find a decent guild full of non-anime drama whores. That proved to be impossible. Nagafen was good...

Last I knew the Berserker charge attacks hit all targets for the same damage. Ride around on your mount and round up however many things are near by and 2-3 shot them. You can kill a dozen things in like 10 seconds. One of those things takes ~40 seconds for my Mystic to solo. Carry on.

Berserker? If you're not killing 10 mobs at once with your berserker you're not doing it right.

This game desperately needs friendly fire. That video from the last page gave me DAOC flashbacks of terrible PBAOE groups. It's an awful mechanic and something that should have been fixed and never seen again as of a decade ago.

The way I rationalize it without knowing too much about actual Planetside lore is that they are generating and regenerating simple soldiers and simple equipment. It's a battle in cost effectiveness on each side.
