My first Core Mining factory maintained different belts for all the resources. I moved toward dumping them all to one warehouse and then using filtered loaders.

Overbuilding is the common SE sin that I commit regularly. It's just too tempting to want to saturate your need for XXX as soon as you unlock it. This results in massive factories that need massive resources to build that then sit idle 95% of the time until you unlock something new that needs...

That's the core challenge of outposts: Extracting the needed resources in an effective way. One thing that might be different about my game from vanilla (not sure if it's SE or K2 or what) is that oil is unlimited. Once you deplete it, you get uhm, 20% of the rate or something. Anyway, oil is...

DBG took so much heat from players when they made the persona system terrible in beta, they don't care. I'm contemplating popping a few krono to get a heroic char on all my accounts for personas some time this year. But the thought of leveling them grinding and cycling overseer a couple hundred...

    Smokers / Grills

Yeah the temperature differentials motivated me to buy a Tru-Infrared which worked well, but required too much time to heat up for regular, small-batch usage. What's an expensive propane grill that you'd recommend?

A++ test, can't wait for the next one. Seems like they've had 3 launches now that had pretty solid goals that were exceeded. Feels great to see experimental launches that are not only successful, but wouldn't even be a huge problem if they were catastrophic.

    Smokers / Grills

I'm looking to buy a propane grill that I mostly just cook meals for a few people. I'd like something cheap that gets hot relatively quickly so I can grill some burgers / wings and be eating without much fuss. I'm leaning toward whatever this is...

    Everquest - Live Servers

Doing Eldrig and other mobs that are somewhat hard to get to spawn reliably (like Quillmane) is fun on live with a maxed out Ranger / Bard, especially if it's casual enough to wait for a rare named bonus and quiet enough to have the zone to yourself. For Eldrig I enjoyed machine gunning...

    Bitcoins/Litecoins/Virtual Currencies

I always joke that I'll sell the one bitcoin I bought (At $600 or something) when it hits $1 or $1million, and I'm not sure which is more likely. It's like anything with unrealized gains, it's effectively a $600 loss until I take a profit and buy cheeseburgers and a GPU with it.

Pre-melody bard was a fun alt for me as a warrior main. Go from pressing five buttons a minute to pressing one a second. I know whenever I played with a main bard in a group they'd do as little variation as possible most of the time and I didn't blame them.

    Everquest - Live Servers

Necro 2.0 was S-Rank until recently when they nerfed the crit focus to diminish based on level like some of the other epics. Funnily enough the crit focus from the 2.0 and the 2.5 stacked additively, making the epic even more OP. It's a good change though since they were the only class that...

Mod drama always cracks me up. It's one reason why I support platforms that streamline $$$ being paid to mod authors. You have to be pretty goofy already to do a bunch of unpaid software development work long-term. When that passion project you do out of love and joy becomes something you hate...

Very cool. From a quick google it looks like Vietnam is one of the leaders. Five reasons why Vietnam’s crypto usage is so high with 17% of the population using crypto mostly for the reasons you described.

Sorry for the confusion, my disappointment is that it hasn't become more ubiquitous as the price of BTC has increased. I don't know if there are areas outside the USA where it's more popular though.

    Bitcoins/Litecoins/Virtual Currencies

I've been a bit disappointed that crypto hasn't become an effective way to make transactions. I don't even know how hard it'd be to trade BTC for a pizza in 2024, or if a website like Coinbase has a "centralized BTC trading" mechanism that would transfer "extra virtual BTC" very fast.

I will always be excited for space sim games. The trailer kind of reminded me of a complaint I had with Starfield and a wish I had from Mass Effect. In both Starfield and Mass Effect, the story occurred after a hugely interesting expansion of human civilization and in both cases a game that...

I did this a couple of years ago. Those things are designed to cut through sticks the exact size of extension cables. I'm not sure well-versed in what SE has by itself vs K2 + SE, but I'd bet that at the stage you're in, everything is still going to be made obsolete, so don't sweat some bad blocks.

brother it's all fine. Don't start over! You're using Krastorio2, right? If so everything you make is going to be obsolete, so don't worry if a given block is trash. It's also good that you're not doing the dumbass mistake of overbuilding each block FOR ULTIMATE PRODUCTIVITY like I did only to...

Elden Ring - From Software + George RR Martin

I disagree with this. Blackreach, the throat of the world quest and even just the first mission loop to climb the first small mountain was pretty awe inspiring in 2011. Elden Ring (and generally the Dark Souls games) definitely beat it by creating a grander, higher fantasy experience.

This is basically how I'm using trains. I use trains that are either 1-1 or 1-4-1 (1 engine, 1 wagon or 1 engine, 4 wagons, 1 engine). It's worked really well so far, but all my trains between land and space are 1-1 and it's getting pretty ridiculous.
