    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

Similarly to my previous post about statistics around sales vs budget vs dei, would be interesting to see dei policies / hiring vs layoffs. Your thoughts on bigoted hiring/culture dooming the quality of the product are sound, but statistics around it (if that's even possible) would be pretty...

Spazu is A+++ Here's a vid of him dumpstering the hardest mission in LS. He's simply killing the mobs before their scripts can activate. I talked with him privately about it and he's humble and merely says he's activating all the things (using IS Boxer). With glyphs, raid gear, etc that's a...

    Everquest - Live Servers

I have a ton of fun for the one month I sub every year and look forward to it every year. I'd have more fun if the game was hard enough to warrant subscribing for more time. Every year I play I think of new ways to build my characters to be stronger, but when the content is easy, why bother?

    Everquest - Live Servers

Any raiding scene where the toughest raids in an expansion are beaten the night of release is not a serious raiding game and who wins doesn't matter. Someone here described it as a casual boomer bowling league, and that sounds about right. Ive pushed the idea of hard mode raids and most of the...

Being overwhelmed is the natural state and won't change. This thread has some good advice on it. Only thing I'll add is something I tell myself everything you're building is shit and will need to be redone. Both because you're going to ignorantly build spaghetti and because upgrades will...

Unlike the last couple pics, here's something I'm actually quite proud of. The way I send products to my outpost planets is through a rocket with a ton of requester chests in it. They are all contained inside my mega mall that makes most of the buildings. I've got.... 11 outposts right now...

I... don't understand. You mean we're not supposed to make spaghetti? But seriously, here's the energy 1 factory I just made in space. One thing that's true in Factorio that's 100% true in software development (and probably a lot of engineering) is that even if you try to plan it all out...

I bought one bitcoin years ago for ~$600 on Coinbase, mostly just for fun. The higher it gets the more I want to move it off coinbase onto a cold wallet. I don't know what's more likely, that Coinbase blows up and is hacked or I botch my bitcoin transfer / ownership somehow.

K2 + SE is only fun if you *really* like the core gameplay loop of building factories. Like, you gotta enjoy building endless amounts of unique factories like Rufus Hussey enjoyed slingshots. K2 and SE compound each other because K2 gives you new technologies to build better factories and SE...

As someone who dislikes FTE as a concept and views it as a bandaid for the core problem that the content is too easy and slow to respawn, good. I hope a server with actual contention stresses the idea.

    Warhammer 40k

Writing an overview for a show without knowing what it's covering is presumptuous. Watch Games Workshop and Henry Cavill convince Amazon to develop a show that doesn't cover the Horus Heresy, Tyranids, Orks or even include the Imperium of Man. They instead opt to cover the noble Thyrrus, with...

Yeah I'm halfway through book 1 and am waiting for an expansion of the universe or characters that makes the series compelling. Will definitely be interesting to read about how SpaceX will prep for a moon landing of Starship in a few years. Elden Ring - From Software + George RR Martin

I'm not in love with it, but it's a refreshing change of pace from the very overt storytelling in most games where the player is constantly reminded in the plainest terms what the lore is and how the quest they're on is involved with it.
