@Rajaah recently first-timed BG1 and posted a bunch on it. I'd recommend just reading his blog thread and instead playing BG3 with us. But he goes into class choice in the second post of this thread: Rajaah's CRPG Blog He went paladin which is a solid choice.

Yeah. A lot of times PCs get PC-only buffs that scale better with +DPS and +Tanking and are wasted on fixed abilities, powerful or no. This was true in BG2 when you get Tears of Bhaal and get a bunch of stat buffs, along with other rando stat buffs that would be foolish to waste on companions...

I'd watch a Dark Souls anime if it had the same confusing fever dream style as the game.

For me it was Tiberian Sun when I was like 12. It released, I played through it and enjoyed it, and realized I spent more time reading about it pre-release than playing it. Now? I mostly ignore game releases until it's time unless I feel like shitposting.

A thousand games to play and this man is playing pre-release hype. Will probably spend less time actually playing Starfield than he spent coming up with a totally wrong skill tree.

And fudging the dice for enemies. Think of all the kobolds with dumpster tier attack rolling against your fighter with ankheg armor and protection rings. With karmic dice they'll start getting through after a few bad rolls.
