    Guild Wars 2

Kinda want to return to GW2. My elementalist, which I loved so much, got kinda stale near the end of my playing and the new elite profession takes it in a direction I don't like. After playing a profession for months that everyone said was underpowered I kind of want to play a FotM profession...

Watching people use jeep wranglers as daily drivers with mostly on highway miles is painful, but you know when you've got some nasty roads to conquer that jeep is ready.

And if you do fuck up and spin out with no one else around, you've gotta blitz as hard as possible to get your car out of the snow berm before anyone shows up to help so you can carry that shame secretly with you to the grave.

Yeah I had a lot of fun building the nuclear factory "into" the cliff-side. I like the water/fluid mechanics in the game but they kind of coerce you into a low-lying and horizontally large factory since pure copper/iron ingots are so strong.

Elite: Dangerous (Kickstarted Sandbox Space Flight Sim)

ED puts the "flight" in space flight sim, with mechanics designed around what is possible with an Airbus Beluga in atmosphere. but really I don't mind, I'm just upset there's no pause button for a solo game. The excuses people made for "why" are pretty funny though, and man are there a lot...

Elite: Dangerous (Kickstarted Sandbox Space Flight Sim)

How piloting a ship in the tutorial in ED feels after playing Chorus: Found out there wasn't a pause feature even in the "solo" mode of ED, which pretty much rules it out for me and my dad-with-young-children-lifestyle. Maybe I'll check it out again in another nine years!!

Star Citizen Online - The search for more money

I'm a big fan of games that have a healthy mod community, but creating a living/breathing online world doesn't seem at all conducive to modding. It was fun playing Freelancer on modded servers back in the day and would probably be fun to play SC on player-run servers if it wasn't a mess, but I...

    Pokemon (Handhelds, not Go)

Thanks for the review. My seven year old and I picked up Pikachu Let's Go yesterday and had a lot of fun with it. It's basically perfect for us because the coop lets me play with him while he retains control and he's able to play without me. He did ragequit in the Viridian Forest when Butterfree...

lol, yeah. In Dyson Sphere Program when you finish the tech tree it has the same end/post-game of "OK, now scale up *everything*". The super early equivalents to AreaActions in DSP worked really well and it was a lot of fun building balanced, compact and aesthetically pleasing factories that...

Jedi Fallen Order (By Respawn Entertainment)

This was exactly my experience due to the puzzles. I think it's a symptom of having played too many games. I really just want to fuck things up with my lightsaber and feel like I've done these puzzles a hundred times in other games already.

    Settlers (2022)

That's funny, I was just lamenting that there is no sequel to Black and White 2. This looks like the boring half of Black and White, all the frumpy villagers but no creature to train to fuck with them.

I know you're being facetious but it was great the first time through when I played it on release, and the second time when I replayed it to get the perfect completionist ending. But the third time through I mostly want to enjoy the mechanics and high points, but also feel obligated to resolve...

Mass effect Remastered - Legendary Edition - 2021

Biggest reason I probably won't ever replay ME is because I'd feel compelled to deal with the squad mate drama again. It felt like taking high school drama problems and applying them to a crack team of galaxy saving soldiers. And the romance in ME never paid off because you never got to hatefuck...

Yeah I mistyped, I want to replay as vanguard and basically build a team all around charge->nova, which I totally enjoyed as an alt class to infiltrator on ME3 multiplayer. I have to imagine this build is tough on insanity but there's gotta be a way to cheese it even at non-journalist mode.

Yeah it was interesting going hard on ME3's multiplayer preview before ME3's release. In order you survive you had to fight very aggressively, always dealing damage or you'd be overwhelmed. Once ME3 came out I used the same strategy on the hardest difficulty and got smoked constantly until I...

They aren't "some indie studio", they are a "medium dev teams of 33 people". Even if they were owned by Disney they are greatly aided by Unreal Engine and Satisfactory is better than what it'd be if they went with Unity, OGRE or they rolled their own engine.
