My guess, they'll gradually improve the way spawning works over time to be more similar to the games such that you can find specific pokemon at specific locations. Right now we have "nests" but they are pretty sparse and focused on a few pokemon.

IVs stay with a pokemon. From what I know there is zero correlation between current moveset and evolved moveset, but it's rumored there is some correlation.

I know you're half kidding here, but three points: 1. The higher level you get, the harder it is to level up the steep, exponential curve. This means that soon, each ~40cp increase to your top 'mon come at a cost of dozens of hours of leveling. So a level 30 trainer who has a 50%IV exeggutor...

Level 37 is incredibly high. If you played Pokemon and were level 26, you'd be 1/10th the way to level 37.

The seat that came with my bike is a torture device. Is there something I'm missing about bike riding? Do I need a special pair of shorts? Do I need to kill all the pain receptors in my ass before I be comfortable on it? I bought a new seat and it works much better.

I p2w the eggs pretty hard. There's a pokestop reachable at my work, so I load up on eggs every day then hatch them at night. I'm not there yet but my goal is to be able to run enough to hatch a 10km every night. +1 for only hatching 2km with infinite incubators.

I'm not sure what would keep the casuals playing. Probably a notification system that says, "Rare pokemon X near you!" that works without the app actively running. The hardcore people will burn out quickly too. I can't see myself playing after level 30, getting all the NA pokemon and building up...

For me it is about not wanting to invest candy and dust into a gimped pokemon. The debate is largely academic though. Most top iv pokemon come from eggs, and most eggmons have a high level. I do t evem bother checking random low cp mons i find.

Snorlax is competing with other snorlax for snorlax candies. If you have a surplus of them and have to decide between boosting a zen snorlax and an optimal staryu, then yeah, the snorlax is better.

BTW: I recommend against throwing away high IV, high value pokemon with bad movesets. You never know when they will rebalance the moves. The game's combat definitely feels like a proof of concept and all this will change.

It's binary in that unless I see some data showing that a Snorlax with zen headbutt is amazing at gyms because it hits as often as lick anyway, I won't spend snorlax candy upgrading one. You're right that it's not binary. A snorlax with lick/hyperbeam is still very good. I'm just saying that...

Its because iv is a spectrum and move sets are almost binary. Either you get a high value primary attack or your pokemon is gimped. A zen headbutt \ earthquake snorlax isnt worth the candy or stardust to upgrade no matter how good its iv is. If its iv was high id keep it though. Caveat...
