Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell

SR4 is better than SR3 for me if only because SR4 was a new take on an old genre, while SR3 was just a refinement of an already refined genre.

DK2s were first received a month or two ago. If you ordered today I think it'd be here by Halloween. If you're not planning on developing I wouldn't get it.

    Building a Treehouse

Yeah I saw something similar, treehouse attachment bolts: Honestly at $100 to $200 each I really can't justify the price over a lag bolt. Maybe if I was building it at my house instead of my sister's for her kids... I feel like lag bolts will hold the house up for at least a decade.

    Virtual Reality

I'd say it's pretty neutral toward VR. From what I hear the experience granted by the cardboard VR is just enough to get a taste of VR but doesn't cross the tremendous threshold of people wanting to spend a lot of time with it. Even the DK2 doesn't cross that threshold except with a few games.

Red Pill Thread 2.0: Neckbeard Revenge

I think we're 0 for 1 on people claiming to be chicks here and also work in IT. Definitely going to need proof before I let this charade go on any longer. iirc Jefflys also talked shit about feminism.

There should be a sitcom with Mist and Dumar in it as a dysfunctional couple. They are pretty much perfect for each other.

I haven't picked out a design. The trees we're looking at are massive. Some of the treehouses I've seen look like they'll kill the tree in a few years, heh.

    Building a Treehouse

Sup bros. I'm going to be building a tree house and am looking for some ideas. I'm hoping to spend less than $1000 on all the materials and not need much carpentry skills or uncommon tools. The treehouse will be ~6 feet from the ground and be affixed either to one large straight tree or to a...

Red Pill Thread 2.0: Neckbeard Revenge

I don't really agree with this because I think most men have a desire to be masculine, but aren't sure what masculine is and are inhibited from being masculine because they think it's inappropriate. I do agree that I'm probably not in touch with much of the redpill movement. It's a derivative...

Red Pill Thread 2.0: Neckbeard Revenge

I also find this pretty funny. Treehorn seems like he's presenting himself as the ideal that redpillers strive for. There seems to be a sentiment that redpill is about people using tricks and pretending to be something they're not to manipulate women into being controlled. Maybe some people...

    Archeage

Now that release is announced and is super close, I updated the OP with what I'm trying to organize for this game: With most MMO releases, this fine community creates a 'forum guild' for it that invariably fizzles out in a few months due to a lack of structure and recruitment. The serious...

What games are made better by cheating?

Mount and Blade: Warband. There's basically two games, an overworld semi-turn based game where you march your army around the map, finding bandits, enemy armies, towns etc to fight. Then the real-time combat game where you ride your horse around and smash fools with your army. At first I...

Yeah I played a few pokemon games with an emulator and had it cranked up to 15x speed. Then I bought a DS and pokemon and couldn't get through it. It was sooo slow.

Red Pill Thread 2.0: Neckbeard Revenge

Khane is probably right. I really can't speak to how redpill nerds act and treat women, and how the movement may have changed from, "How to truly be the best man for your woman" to "How to manipulate these weak female minds in order to make them subservient.". There's probably a lot of different...

Red Pill Thread 2.0: Neckbeard Revenge

You guys over-complicate and vilify the red pill shit too much. Part of the problem is Dumar is a poor ambassador of it and is very vocal about it. All it is, is an answer for why nice guys get shit on in relationships and an ideology on how to be attractive to women. I'm pretty sure the...

There's no real difference between 2^16, 2^32 and 2^64 planets. The max value of the seed doesn't really make each planet less unique. It's just about how much variation they are able to pack into the randomization engine. If they're good people will get bored after ~10 planets.

I think discrete also has a more broad spectrum of difficulty than classes like calculus. I know the few projects we did that really delved into the concepts and kicked everyone's ass were not standard curriculum.
