Any idea what kind of loan rates are out there for used vehicles for someone with redonkeyously good credit? Carmax shows a low of 2.95%. However, doing a general web search I'm seeing rates around 4% which sounds high.

    Watchmen

I'm not a fan of what they did with Doctor Manhattan. To me they Matrix 2'd him. Went from a God-like being back to human. Unless it's a woman, amirite?

    The Dragon Prince

Finished the season last night. It was quite enjoyable but, yes, another gay couple thrown in at the end. There have been more homosexual relationships depicted in this series than hetero. I'm with you, Xadion. If I had young children I would not be comfortable letting them watch this. I...

Look at this shit: Carvana | Buy Used Cars Online & Skip The Dealership That is a base 2017 GT with no options for $29,100? Fucking dumb. Again, I could buy a brand spanking new 2019 with 0% financing for 72 months for ~$28,500. You'd have to be a complete moron to buy from these places...

    Car ?'s

What if the car has a lien? Looking at Carvana offerings...who the hell is buying vehicles at these prices? I'm actually looking for a used, low-mileage 17+ Mustang GT. They are selling used 17s for the price I could buy a brand new 19 for.

For junior dev applicants we give them 3 coding challenges: * reverse a string * count the number of usages of a word in a string * SQL stuff that involves table joins. nothing crazy Each challenge gives explicit acceptance criteria. So we are testing that they are able to code AND can follow...

Yup. Getting away from the code and thinking about the problem helps immeasurably. Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees. Or is it the other way around? Whatever, you get the point.

Could you say 'f em' and instead just anonymously scrape the web page search results? Since that apparently has the tags that you need and the API doesn't.

That's the thing -- use them all. That's what I meant by creating your own API. Under the hood, aggregate results from any number of sites and return your own, single API response.

Doing a quick inspection of the DOM from a Tenor search, I can see there's a "search terms" element attached to each GIF. Are those the tags? So instead of using their limited API, you could make your own API that works by scrapping content off their web search since it appears their web...

What is going on with the Forums??

Not suggesting this as a solution, but have you tried installing a different browser to see if the redirects still occur? That way you'll know it's specifically the browser that's the problem. it sounds like it's a cookie hanging around that's executing a malicious redirect.

Dude, they all say that. But no one actually expects you to know everything. The goal is to show a potential employer that you can learn. Like I said, I think you should settle on a particular stack and try and become competent with it. Create a portfolio around it.

You're making a mistake if you're hoping around trying to learn the 15 billion different technologies. Pick something and become proficient with it. You'll have a tougher time finding a job if you're mediocre (or worse) at everything.

I'm just going by personal experience. To be at a professional level with CSS you really have to have a ton of a experience to be aware of all the little idiosyncrasies of the language. Also, you need, I would think, some kind of art degree on top of it. Isn't that a rare combination? CS +...

I was watching a video for PoE beginners and the dude mentioned that no one really plays on the standard league servers. If that's the case, then does that mean everyone re-rolls every league? Which means no one really has a permanent character? Or is there something I'm not understanding...

What's your opinion on GraphQL vs REST? We went REST for our Silverlight+WCF to Angular conversion and the number of end points has quickly grown out of control (plus all the authorization around each one). We began development back in '16 so there weren't real alternatives to REST. But it...

First off, I'm a .NET guy so I'm not familiar with Java/Spring. Although it sounds like it's equivalent to ASP.NET MVC. So, either framework will work. However, Angular needs complete control of the browser so all Spring will be doing is serving up a static index.html page to launch the app...

I consider myself fairly proficient with Angular at this point and I've tinkered around with Vue. React I'm familiar with from a high level perspective. To answer your question, it really depends on what you're doing. For simple apps Angular is an overkill. Vue is superior for small apps and...
