    Half-Life: Alyx

Right. It's an amazing game, that requires you have a nice PC and a nice VR setup. If there were lots of games like Alyx, I think more people would be willing to pony up the money for a VR setup. But currently there isn't enough to justify dropping over 1K on the VR stuff alone, even if you...

    Coming 2 America (2021)

Got around to watching this. Was fine for what it was, had a few funny moments and the call backs to the first film were mostly handled well. I did like how that dude just made McDoogles in Zamunda to get away from the McDonalds lawyers lol. The annoying mother wasn't in it that much in the...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Ya, the RNG to the procs never feels good, especially if you're making something with difficult to obtain materials. But if they made it too predictable, it would be easily solved with macros. Short of some reflex mini game like it's the Golden Saucer, not sure how they could get around that.

    The Mandalorian

That’s just corporations in general. Who knows who and whether or not whatever metric they are using to demonstrate success (even if the metric data is flawed) impresses whoever keeps them in power or lets them climb the rungs

    Overwatch

These ESports “metoo” situations are always tricky. DOTA got decimated last year from this, but a couple turned out to be bullshit or gross exaggerations.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

You’re always going to run into content issues, because people want different stuff (hard core/xp grinders/casual). I do get the impression that COVID fucked their schedule and stuff got pushed Eureka and Bozja bored me to tears, but I do understand people like that sort of shit.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Taking breaks is fine. I plan to come back for that Moogle Tome event, though, since you can buy the FF6 Magitek mount (predator) as one of the reward options for 50 tomes. Fuck trying to get that to drop from the dungeon.

Books being canceled means Cara Dune was in them as a central protagonist I would guess

    Disney+ Streaming Service

Netflix was in trouble because other content producers yanked shit. If they provide their own content that people like and people subscribe, it solves their issues Netflix has yet to really embrace the weekly content drip format, though

    Disney+ Streaming Service

What a dumb clickbait article. They aren’t stopping kids, it would technically be the parents stopping kids if they set parental restrictions.

    Kung Fu

Maybe they thought that, but it wasn’t accurate. Enter the Dragon was a box office hit.

    Kung Fu

Wasn’t the original Kung Fu going to be Bruce Lee starring, but then execs at the time didn’t want to headline the show with an Asian actor as main character and got some white dude instead? OG Kung Fu with Bruce Lee would have been awesome

    Battlefield 2042

My favorite sniper map was the one where you start on that elevated island/mountain and have to push down a narrow road to a town. 80% of the players would just have a sniper battle between the mountain and the shore. I’d get so many kills with the barret .50

    WandaVision

Pretty much. Replace SWORD with virtually any military organization and end result is the same. Much like Monica, this felt mostly as an introduction to a new organization (although kind of an odd way to introduce it...now SWORD will have a villain taint to it, unlike SHIELD which was the good...

    WandaVision

Ya, Monica/Photon is an interesting character, but they did feel rather wasted in the show. Beyond it serving as an origin story and a setup for CM2, she could have been almost completely absent and not a whole lot would have changed to the plot. And ya, Xmen Quicksilver just being a meta...

    Marvel Universe stuff

I think because of the escalating stakes, they've had to power up everyone a lot more than normal. At this point, it's like Dragon Ball Z. Hawkeye and Black Widow were basically the Yamcha and Krillans, while everyone else is a Saiyan or Nameckian or Android. And when you become a Yamcha...

    Twitch.tv

    WandaVision

Good point, I think a lot of it has to do with age. Anyone who grew up watching Full House or all those direct-to-TV/DVD movies they produced post-Full House will know who they are. They even had video games for Gameboy based on those movies. To Ambiturner's point, they would probably be more...

    Marvel Universe stuff

You're an idiot if you don't think that certain elements or metals, and knowledge on how to best use them or exploit them, don't have an impact on the technological advancement of a society. Then couple that with an abundant supply of said mineral and you're off to the races. The...

    WandaVision

The final stinger is significant because the Darkholdt book is basically an intelligent book that will show you what you want to see and give you instructions on how to get what you want. The catch is that the longer you read it, the more corrupted you become and begin to covet the knowledge in...

    WandaVision

Ya, Hayward becoming some cartoonish villain willing to murder kids and crush skulls with no understandable motivation was stupid. At least Agatha we could understand her POV: She wanted power and felt like Wanda was just wasting it. Hayward wanted a Vision he could control to do...what? They...

They really fucked themselves with the half baked, ultra monetized launch and steep learning curve. Awesome they tried to retool it, but they had to do a lot more to make it accessible
