What do you mean by load balancing instances? My understanding is that their plan for load balancing is to literally have enough servers that the population is not so congested as to block people from playing the game for extended periods of time.

Nothing is dead yet. Like 11 of the first 12 people to 50 were not affiliated with the "top guild". I expect Phinny to die pretty soon though. For some reason RI didn't want to start raids until level 50, so it's taking longer than expected. @Korrupt probably knows more.

He's a member of Faceless now yeah and we will do a guild for Pantheon on launch for sure. I don't know anything about Pre-Alpha. Some of the devs have accounts here though, they might answer you if you're lucky! Also, our boy Zavy is a Conquest veteran as well, you should hit him up!

Those roundups are actually done by a guild member of ours Nick/Nickyhots, he's an old Conquest member. I know he lurks here but I don't think he posts.

Coirnav could get a pop boost in a few months but a lot of players are simply going to say "I may as well just wait until March and play the next TLP for the 20th anniversary" This is the problem DBG has created.

I don't think they've worked on animations at all really outside of concept art. I'm pretty sure the main focus for a while has been core mechanics, i.e. combat, movement, casting, class balance, enemy a.i., mob abilities, tradeskills etc.

Tons of people read these forums and think they can be like Abishi and Lost, boxing efreeti and dodging the IRS.

They need a group that isn't terrible at the game for the next stream.

There was a point where Unrest on Agnarr had like 80 pickzones. I didn't level in Unrest but I remember everyone going wild and seeing people grinding in Unrest80 in the guild tool.

For perspective I logged in and there was no queue, Nektulous has base zone and two pickzones.

I logged in two hours after launch w/ no queue and no 20 minute zone times etc. Sad.

Exp is way faster than Phinigel launch. Not even bad w/ the bonus.

Every server gets a bit better, closer to classic. Maybe for the 20th anniversary server they'll add old Freeport.

For sure, and just a casual viewing of the thread can tell you why. No dev wants to come in here and get trolled by a community that by all appearances dislikes them. Why bother?

I think we stifle a lot of decent conversation with 500+ pages of Brad meme's and falling gifs that don't really do anything except farm easy likes. The forum has actual developers registered here, one of the game designers is a native of our community we could easily establish a great rapport...

I posted the zone file to load file change that removes objects (i.e. doors) from the game along with all other client side obstructions.

It would make it impossible because you can't get enough keys to enter those keyed zones and clear the raid mobs to trigger a respawn... Server first Trakanon drops 4 teeth, GG servers over.

It would be awesome. I'd say remove MoTM but keep Mark of the Old Ways though. Not crazy about that respawn idea.

Idgaf about the points system personally but some guilds seem to care about it a lot. I like the idea of a centralized progression tracker that sticks around. We lost lots of progress when the various people hosting those sites bailed. Rip Fippykills and the original Phinnykills.

Yeah with motm/motow he was doable but Phinny did not get PoTM until several weeks into Kunark. Regen was also bugged still for Kunark launch on Phinny.

Once they added PoTM it really pushed Trak over the edge. Idk if we will see a launch raid kill him without some new patch or cheese. At 50 the Lifetap is just too much.

Nizzar fell in love with some female app to Trucidation and left the game to be with her.

He has been heavily involved in the eqemu scene, including p99. He never did much with us on LJ but has been an active raider since classic on Agnarr.

In the end nothing was lost because Secrets came back and was able to restore it and fix the rest of the site.
