That shit happened but it was rare enough that it made the game interesting rather than ruined my leveling experience. Plus the guy doing the PLing would usually get bored enough to make it dangerous and kill himself.
Your assumption is that if they weren't twinked they wouldn't be getting powerleveled. I would argue that they would be more likely to be getting powerleveled.
If I'm a popular person in my guild and need to roll an alt, if I can twink it I can just cruise through the levels and maybe someone...
Big difference is that in vanilla EQ you couldn't get a fiery sword of preening from a level 15 mob. One of the top twink items was a FBSS that gave ~20% haste and was reasonably difficult to get.
If you build a world with no instancing and little amount of loot then twinking becomes a lot...
Also fuck item degradation, fuck limited numbers of arrows, and fuck being unable to powerlevel and twink people.
Powerleveling is another element of socialization that has been stripped from MMOs. In EQ if you needed to roll an alt and had a friend with a druid/mage/shaman/whatever they...
This is especially fun when they get captured because of their own idiocy and have to fight their way out with the other idiots
I was Heigan dancing champion in my guild in the 40man naxx.
There's basically three types of PVP, and generally someone who likes PVP likes one of these categories.
1. Random PVP: the shit you get where you're contending over resources with a random person in some area. Including when a high level player comes in and griefs for fun.
2. Battleground...
Yup. First person should be limited to horror games (Where a limited perspective is hugely important) and FPS games. Just copy WoW's camera system and be done with it.
It had no honor system at launch. The PVP was best at launch when everyone was too busy leveling and gearing to go to low level areas and stomp newbies.
It's an extremely bad sign that the max level is level 17 a few months from launch.
If you posted a thread, "How many pizza rolls can I fit in my mouth?" and then never came to the community again we would be concerned and care about you.
I imagine that he could be in the Deerfield obits or in the Miami ones too, so it's tough to narrow stuff down. I'd guess his age to be ~30 based on his pics.
Did you ever play a healer in WoW before raidbar mods were made? It was actually pretty fun doing raid PVP healing. You had to actually look at the game world, see who was getting fucked over, click on them and heal. Once raid bars were modded in it started down the trend of whak-a-mole.
I...
It all depends on production really. If they're close to signing a contract and starting production with LG, Samsung, whatever then they will probably skip the DK2 and produce CK1 for Fall/Winter. If they're still early on in the negotiation step I think they'll get DK2 out in Summer/Fall.
Network latency is not analogous to streaming latency.
It's like the difference between moving your mouse and clicking a button and it taking 200ms for the page to load from the button click, and moving your mouse and the cursor being 200ms behind.
For games with hardware mouse support the...
It's not really feature creep as much as it is implementing real ways to solve problems and satisfy features.
The features of an HMD are:
1. 3d
2. Covers user's fov
3. high def display (1080p minimum, 4k is more ideal, 8k is probably the most that could be used)
4. high refresh rate (90hz...
Playable latency depends on the person though. For me, even Bioshock Infinite had enough input latency that I couldn't enjoy it. For whatever reason the unreal engine dropped hardware mouse acceleration.
Lumie please keep your opinions about cancer and cures for cancer to threads likeWizardhawk's memorial thread (a cautionary tale of dental care and garlic:emoji_nose: where you killed a man.
I think that was the worst part of the old PVP system. On many servers there was an element of politicking and a waiting list that people went through.
I'll always have a warm place in my heart for Michael Bay because he got me my current job. I ranted to the CEO about how much Michael Bay blows and that's what convinced him I was the right man.
What's ironic about MMOs is the incredible stale combat for most classes in EQ allowed people to socialize while medding, auto attacking, waiting for pulls etc. OTOH voip has overtaken text as the primary method of communication.
Oculus unveils new Rift prototype with positional tracking and mysterious OLED display | Polygon
No real surprises here. I'm glad they got to show off their 3d tracking even if it looks a little hokey. Seems like they have a decent screen, but the newness of the OLED displays makes it hard to...
I did this one too and yeah, the one I posted was better for me. I imagine it's build dependent, but I think I got at least 2x the rate of souls, plus I found it more enjoyable and mindless, lol.
