    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

I'll throw a contrarian vote out there. I liked my priest in WoW having a wide variety of utility spells that I rarely used, but when I did use them it was awesome. Whether it was levitate or stoneform being able to pop that off on the fly was wonderful. Then again I'm one of those people who...

Yeah that's exactly how I interpreted it. He's knowledgeable like a used car salesman is knowledgeable.

I got into coldplay at exactly the time I started playing Shadowbane. Now Clocks and Yellow reminds me of farming elves, fighting legions of scrubs and destroying cities.

My farming area of choice, no idea if it's the best one but as soon as I saw a dozen dumbass skeleton things 40 meters from a fire I knew I'd get some souls out of it. It's easy as fuck too. I watched a few hours of Louis CK standup during a farm and now whenever I hear Louis CK I think of Dark...

Better for PC. Mouse/kb works fine with mods, graphics are much better.

    Dark Souls 2

Yup, the hollow level sucks and I think it stops a ton of people from getting to that zone. You get better at it as you get practice and stop falling off / getting cursed, but it never gets easy It's worth it though. If you haven't gotten to Ash Lake your playthrough of dark souls is incomplete.

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Yup. One could check out a TESO-central forum and compare it with an MMO central forum. The TESO forum will be full of pretty naive people who haven't played an MMO before and think TESO is goign to be the best shit ever and the MMO central forum will be full of experts in playing shitty MMOs...

State of Decay (Xbox 360, PC)

I'm playing the shit out of Breakdown. The original game is just one huge tutorial for breakdown. I found this mod: Backpacks and Pick-ups fix with climbable pickups at State of Decay Nexus - Mods and community That makes the game sooo much better by making it trivial to drive around with...

    Dark Souls 2

Yeah the ash lake zone is definitely a 'secret level'. But it's one of the best zones in any game ever so the disjointedness can be forgiven.

    The Elder Scrolls Online

IIRC There's a thread about it in the other games forum. It's similar to DayZ, cool idea but a bit shallow and need a lot of work before it's ready for primetime. I'm personally waiting to play both those games until they're in better states.

If his guild had BWL on farm and were just waiting for the AQ gates to open his committment to BWL runs wouldn't be a big deal.

    The Elder Scrolls Online

Fuck the gear, getting grand marshal / high warlord was about the permanent status of dedicating a part of your life to getting it. When a developer makes a factional PVP system in a game I interpret it as a chance to win a war. And when the reward for winning a war is crowning someone emperor I...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

On the other hand, gaming is like taking out the actual physical parts of playing football! I also agree that WoW got pretty close to a good sweet spot for an MMO. I feel like they made solo-content too prevalent and made loot too common. I'm a bit on the fence on whether instances for raids...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Oh and for buying armor sets on a pre-release kickstarter, nothing would crack me up more than logging into the game and seeing people who spent $1000 buying an armor set that I'll outlevel in a few days. Even if StarCitizen is amazing I think most people will regret paying as much as they...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

The most important part about the EQ death penalty is that if you weren't a high level cleric you either had to ask someone for help or you had to eat a huge penalty. That forced socialization is really important.

Why are people such whiny cunts on this forum

Oddly enough both a_skeleton_03 and duppin seem pretty far from the center on the US political scale (Duppin is liberal, a_skeleton_03 is conservative). I've also noticed that the measure of how much liberals vs conservatives bitch is dependent on who is in power. Most of the time I see...

Wizardhawk's memorial thread (a cautionary tale of dental care and garlic)

Would be cool if a fitday or other diet tracking website allowed you to enter your diet for a week and produced a chart like that. Obviously some people need more vitamins than others and one week isn't enough to get a true average but it'd probably do okay. I've tried taking multivitamins...

That was another one of those bosses I never felt comfortable with when I beat him. I'm sure there's videos of people dancing with him but I feel like I just fought him enough until I got lucky, rather than totally figuring him out and being comfortable with killing him.

    The Elder Scrolls Online

Yup, the way the emperor is determined is yet another dumb choice by Zenimax. I was hoping they'd follow GW2's example with taking keeps / the center castle. Whichever guild did the most to take it over could claim it and throw up their banner. The most logical thing to do would be to match that...

    Water in the desert southwest

That's another reason why I don't worry about droughts in the southwest. In addition to decreased consumption from higher costs, the cost of desalination will be lower than the cost of getting water from the colorado river (and other sources) and coastal cities of California (LA et all) will...

    Water in the desert southwest

I was born in Vegas and it's amazing visiting my family there every year and seeing the increasingly stringent rules and respect they have for water. I remember nearly everyone having lawns, but now it's rock gardens everywhere. And Lake Mead has a giant crown of 'the water used to be this high'...

I would be interested to see a 'top ten things the Rerolled community wants in a future mmo' list. Would just be interesting to see if we could come to a decision. That'd be more appropriate for non-MMO specific threads (Ex: what are action mmos missing?)

Why are people such whiny cunts on this forum

Squeaky wheel gets the kick! To the OP: I assume Duppin has a mental issue that makes him perceive slights, no matter how inconsequential, as huge issues. I think a_skeleton_03 is a combination of stupid and bored, where he will start off trolling someone for fun and drama, get called out...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

Yeah WoW is like that and still was back when I played in wotlk. You just had to know the gear. There is much more gear acquirable in much different ways in WoW than there was in EQ so it's a lot harder to tell what's going on.

Beyond the argument of whether or not zerging was a frequent occurrence in EQ I say who gives a shit if it happens in future MMOs. I'm so tired and jaded of cutting edge raiding from WoW (Even after like 4 years of being away, hah) that I'd rather do the faceroll dragon encounters in GW2 than...
