RIP Spock.
I actually liked the Voyager ending -- except the shoehorned Chakotay and Seven of Nine romance. That came out of nowhere.
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't great like TNG's. But it was fun watching a future-fitted Voyager kick Borg ass.
Personally, I'm now more interested in other JVM languages, such as Groovy or Scala. I've heard cool things about Groovy -- about how it removes a lot of the "gunk" you have to deal with in Java.
I don't have any professional experience with Java, but I did read two giant tomes on Java 8 just recently. The impression I got was that it's very similar to C# - very easy to learn if one knows the other. Java often requires more boilerplate code to do the same thing, though (e.g. no auto...
Actually, barring accidents, I can foresee us extending life indefinitely. Hell, "backing up" the contents of our brains and downloading into a new body is a frequent subject in science fiction. Of course this brings up the whole debate about the "soul" and what not, but it doesn't remove the...
Yeah, I consistently look forward to it every week. It's a shame the ratings aren't higher, although luckily it's been renewed for a third season.
Also, I love the intro.
Bumping because I routinely get some good laughs from this. The two younger kids are adorable and the little girl really is hilarious.
And, for some odd reason, I actually find the mom sorta attractive. Even with the weird eye.
One point I'd like to make from personal anecdotal evidence is that those with degrees tend to poo-poo those who don't. At my place of employment it's quite obvious that those without degrees are seen as lesser beings. Quite a bit of intellectual snobbery goes on. So I can see where a hiring...
I managed to get a developer position by coding tools for our operation department. This caught the attention of some higher-ups and they brought me in. I have no degree. And, quite honestly, I am not impressed by those that DO have software engineering degrees here. I am quite confident...
He looks like a Betazoid with those super dark eyes.
I think it WAS pretty shitty voting fat boy into the nerd off. I don't ever recall him having a "short fuse" before that point. But, Kaitlin is my favorite of all the nerds, so glad she kicked his ass.
Kaitlin actually has a decent...

I thought for sure "The Commander" was gonna put the moves on Clarke at a couple points.
Anyway, exactly what is Clarke's plan? Because I'm pretty sure people that's been kept in small cages and routinely had their blood drained aren't going to immediately start kicking ass once freed.
Yeah, watched it last night. Really enjoyed it.
Oddly, the trailers depicted Louis repeatedly saying his motto, "If you want to win the lottery, you have to make the money to buy a ticket" , but he actually only said that once at the beginning.
Holy shit, best episode of the series last night. I will freely admit I got all weepy.
I'll miss you, Kitty. I thought you were going to be a lame addition to the show, but if Watson had left instead of you I'd been okay with that.
Some screenshots I took from Space Engine...

Out of curiosity, I did some Google'ing around and apparently this has been posited before (not that I for one second thought I was the only one to suddenly think of this). But the general consensus appears to be that if they are the same particle then it opens up a whole new can of worms and...
Have they considered that they are not actually two separate particles but, instead, just one? From our perspective theyappearto be two separate particles, but we're simply observing two sides of the same coin. If one side is heads then you know the other is tails.
Anyone watch Dwight's new show? I was really looking forward to this but, man, I ended up turning it off half way in. The case wasn't interesting nor was it particularly funny.
What bugs me is that Falcone actually had the wool pulled over his eyes. I was expecting him to know what was up the entire time. But, nope, smitten by a pretty girl.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAT? First I've heard of this:

Fucking loved this show as a kid. PLEASE dear God don't fuck it up.
Oh, and no Star Trek TNG!?
