Just started playing over the weekend, about 60 moons in, lots of fun, having a good time with it. I would have loved a game like this when I had all the free time in the world, harder for me now as an adult. Really enjoying it, my son likes playing as Cappy, so it's a win.

Take pay for play out of the equation, and let's pretend that everyone is on the up and up regarding the amateur status of student athletes. Elite schools still have the ability to provide the best (highest paid) coaches, athletic trainers, strength trainers, position trainers, personnel, etc...

Yes, but we're not talking about the legality of it, we're talking about the market value. The market value for top tier players is more than a "free college education" that a top tier player will never actually finish and/or take advantage of.

Right now there is no parity. Bigger schools have nicer lockers rooms, facilities, strength trainers, nutritionists, higher paid coaches, dorms, etc, etc. Whether a school is paying the top 5% or not does not negate the smaller schools ability to get talent, they aren't competing for the same...
