Not really. Like Blitz posted, treat it more like a GTA. There is some semi-open ended stuff you can do, but eventually you exhaust all the side quests and objectives.

Fallout 76 has improved a lot since launch. One thing you can give them credit for is sticking with the game vs. just abandoning it. Content does come out fairly slow, but it comes out. Most recent major patch added some mini-traveling Nuka World with a bunch of rides and quests.

This is a good observation of part of the flaw with their design philosophy. They’re fairly quick to abandon features rather than try to refine them, although that goes hand in hand with the relatively “stand alone” nature of each xpac.
