Interesting, thanks for the tip. I’ll watch out for that. I was surprised it didn’t dip this morning at all. I had expected the post weekend folks to move back into stocks with some earnings but it looks like people are holding fast.
I just liquidated about $50,000 cash. I think I’m gonna roll the dice on Ethereum soon. Waiting a bit to see how it pans out this week off the high. Wish it was a touch cheaper so I could buy into 32 of them but those days are probably gone, and i don’t want to sell anything else.
I'm not actually looking to do any such thing, I was just more curious about the reality of it. Not really having followed crypto for the past 10 years, my basic understanding (obviously flawed) was that it was a monetary system that was largely untraceable. Clearly not the case.
I don't even...
Thanks everyone.
Damn, storing a lot of crypto any way you slice seems moderately scary (compared to everything else.)
That's good to know about the 24 word phrase. I created a few different wallets for the small amount I have, and of course I created those pass phrases, which I wrote on a...
Some dumb questions since I don't know a whole lot about crypto.
How do you guys safely store large amounts (i.e. thousands, or even tens of thousands,) of crypto?
Do you use stuff like Coinbase? Or the private wallets...I understand those hardware wallets are the best for safety? I assume...
So for shits and giggles I threw another $95 of bitcoin at Nicehash's hash power marketplace. This time I used the "standard" instead of "fixed" option at a bit of a lower price for about 2.5 hours of mining at what appears to be 9 to 10 gigahash / second. The first attempt cost me $100 for...
But, HURRR, never sell, hedgies, to the moon, 🚀 🚀 🚀, 💎 🙌, you’re a pussy if you sell. (I’ve seen this shit posted on SPACs social media in the past week.)
UNSURPRISING FAIL. 🤪
It looks like my $100 made me about $62 of Ethereum. It was probably not wise to play it out at unlimited speed. In other news, it would be cool to be mining 10 gh/s on my own!
I’m going to try it again for $100 and bot managed.
My one GPU does 51 mh/s. That was worth $100 in mining about 16-20 hours a day from March 10th to last night.
So you’d probably be about on the same track as me. Not bad really for the small amount of power used.
No, you can use your own wallet of course. I am sure any work. If nothing shows up on 2miners within an hour I’d think something is wrong, but I’m no expert.
Hmm. Double check all the info is right, address for 2miners, port, your wallet in gminer, then just give it a bit. It’ll show up if everything is right.
You don’t get paid out until you reach 0.05 ETH in 2miners. They don’t pay you every share. That’s why I was saying earlier I got paid out “for the first time” since March 10th when I decided to give this a go for fun. The $100 in ETH I was paid represents me meeting 0.05 registered in my...
I'm trying out something for a gamble / fun.
Nicehash hash power marketplace. From what I've read generally a crapshoot where you lose your money, but some days you can make money. Many factors at play, and they even have a bot for it that I'm not using.
I just bought $100 in bitcoin worth...
Can't resist cool bullion knickknacks at the local coin store.
David Bowie 2 pound coin.
Queen's Beasts White Greyhound of Richmond, 5 pound coin
Queen's Beasts White Horse of Hanover 5 pound coin
Australian 1 dollar rectangular dragon. Queen's Dragon? Ha.
I love these 2...
Gold in the 1600s, silver nearing $23.
I just want two more ounces of gold and I’m done with that. I want my full ounce Gold Eagle and an ounce Maple. Silver I’ll just buy cool stuff as I see it not particularly for investment reasons but more for fun.
I’m in the same boat. Even with this downturn I’ve lost no amount of money worth speaking of as I’ve never bought SPACs far above NAV.
Patiently waiting for things to go back up.
Interesting theory on that!

For what it’s worth, every time I’ve dealt with Fidelity, I’ve never been on with a non-American rep. Always fully English speaking folks with no accent.
Only cons I’d have is they usually take 1-2+ hours to call you back but I can deal with that.
Yep, was just about to post this. Like you said with it being April already, meh.
This market is boring.
