Not that I know much about this shit, but from my terse understanding, difficulty goes up when things get hot = less blocks solved per person, less money. But I could be talking out my ass. ETH is chugging today independent of BTC being a lil stagnant!

Oh wow! What a difference. I noticed in the last week the money from mining for me has went down a lot. I was making about $6 a day which has went down to like 4-4.25. Maybe way more people mining now because of the surge in price? Or just me for some reason.
