I am. Its more or less the same game as its always been. Cool premise, and medium to poor execution of said premise combined with the devs never thinking it would ever be super popular and all the problems that come along with it.

I got to the same point with the game. There was only so much base building I could do before i was just bored of it all. I also got stupid rich by finding an S class activated iriduim node and setting up mining on it and just selling the ore.

You might be able to later in the game as you increase in power. Also another thing that could happen is he could have a disastrous couple of battles with a faction he is warring with, have no armies and suddenly be willing to confederate as well.

Which elf faction can't you confederate? Their alliances don't have anything to do with them not wanting to confederate with you. That is determined by your standing with the world and your relative strength compared to theirs.

I recommend skipping Vortex and just play Mortal Empires.I have almost 1000 hours in the game and have completed 1 Vortex campaign and just felt like I wasted my time.

High Elves(specifically Tyrion), dwarves(Grimbol or the high king) or Empire are probably the easiest races to play/learn the game.

Nothing like Civ at all. The building is more like the old Master of Magic game from Microprose(if you are that old) where all the buildings either enhance your unit production or your money production or help protect your cities/settlements. High Elves are a good place to start as they are one...

Its MUCH easier to get plastic to stay together imo. And learning to paint reasonably is a matter of sitting down and just doing it with some paitence. However if you have money and just want to play the game there are plenty of places you can get an army painted on commission

Right now I am trying to figure out the first moves to make with the one of the new elf LL. You start in 2 locations with 2 armies, I have restarted 3 times now trying to figure this out.

I haven't some of the harder ones and I don't play on anything but normal. The 'hardest' i have tried is probably the dwarf LL that has double upkeep until you take Karak Eight Peaks.

Pretty sure if you DL the DLC it will nuke your Skarsnik campaign due to the Greenskin overhaul fyi
