IIRC, haste and maybe mastery don't properly apply to clone attacks, the stacks of hit combo don't transfer on them (they have to build their own), and some other things...

The more quests you do, the easier to zone gets. It opens portals to every area as you progress. Those + flight whistle makes it the easiest zone to get around in.
