Yep. Right now VR support is enabled by Skyrim and other games through a 3rd party application (VorpX or Vireio). Because OVR keeps changing their SDK API (and rightfully so) it hurts groups like that trying to wrap their SDK. Once OVR settles on an API definition and stabilizes their SDK groups...

Variise is the Blackwulf of this thread and that's okay. At least he's the fanboy for SC and not ESO. Blackwulf ended up finally turning his back on ESO after release, but I think SC will pull off a good game so Variise is safe from that!

I agree with cybsled with the only caveat being that if you are put off by bugs and/or don't care about playing the latest games (and talking about them in this thread or other communities) stay away from FO4, it will likely be a buggy mess.

    Gold: Panning, Prospecting, Treasure Hunting

Why gold? Why not copper? And if you're getting copper, why take it raw from the earth like a caveman? The real panning is urban panning where you go to abandoned (or temporarily abandoned, 5 minutes of abandonment is enough in Ricky's book) buildings and pull copper pipes and cables from the...

lol @ $60 for a knockoff, wired controller built for an FPS. The other big source of possible consternation is when I'm one of the ~3% of people whose system is somehow incompatible with the game until they release a patch two weeks post-release. Unlikely to happen though, my hardware is...

See to me the goal shouldn't be to provide meaningful penalties that would turn the game into some kind of hard mode, but would instead provide overcomeable penalties that make a playthrough more flavorful and interesting.

I don't mind the skill point change. The Fallout skill point system was not clever or interesting for a gameplay perspective and after so much time in FO3 I'm glad to leave it. The only gap it creates for me is the lack of skill books in the world providing the player a gameplay-impacting...

Optimal builds are impossible to make right now because we don't know what the perk trees are and one unknown perk with a high SPECIAL requirement in something unexpected will obliterate any well thought out build. And BGS makes nearly no attempt to balance their end-game. Fallout 4: Perk...

That probably depends on how hard it is to produce solar panels out of asteroid fields and shit-tier planets and how easy inter-stellar travel is. One could imagine a species living around a dying star who have great solar-system travel capability but very poor interstellar travel...

Dumb question about Dyson spheres, don't asteroid fields have huge asteroids with nuclear materials like uranium and thorium in them? Aren't these a very rich source of energy? I've always thought of Dyson spheres as being more of a neat scifi-style theory than a real culmination of a species.

It's depressing that a lawyer will say that CPS should be treated like crooked cops. Good people like chaos and a_skeleton_03 (or me, if I were in their shoes I'd do the same thing probably) stonewalling CPS makes it easier for bad people to stonewall CPS, which hides real child abuse.

With Project Nevada you can get a cyborg implant that gives you nightvision, heat vision and "EM Vision". The EM Vision is the most cheaty of the three and gives you a minor form of wall hacking. Would be interesting if they tried a Hitman style approach of changing the options and features a player has based on difficulty. The cool thing about sandbox games is that you can choose how much fun you have in them. Yeah I expect that the game will need mods to make the game more enjyoable at hard difficulties. And honestly it's not even that hard in Elder Scrolls or Fallout. You just make it so enemies can three shot you if you screw up, and in Fallout make it so that items are scarce. There's no need...
