I took it apart again and made sure the ribbon was fully seated. It was. The 'button' inside the touchpad works, so it's definitely connected via the ribbon.

I've been playing the new Zelda on 3DS this weekend and it's kind of funny that I'm enjoying that game more than anything on my Vita or PS4. I wish Nintendo would just be a developer/publisher.

The renting items is a new thing. I thought it was kind of hokey at first, but there are so many cool new puzzles that it doesn't really deter from how good the game is. It's also come to bite me in my ass a couple of times when I got a little too gung-ho and died.

Yeah, my wrists/hands are jacked up in general and handhelds really aggravate them. Just gotta' find the sweet spot to hold it, I guess. As for the game download, I downloaded it on release day around 7pm EST without issue. Took about 30 min, if that, on the stock memory card.

Yeah, I had a release day PS1 and can't recall having any compatibility issues with it. It did start to take a crap near the end of the generation and I had to flip it upside so it wouldn't overheat/freeze up.

I have a pretty current PC rig and I own a PS4. I might upgrade my PC a bit early next year, but other than that, I'm set for now.

Returned Knack to Walmart for Need For Speed this afternoon. Will give it a go tonight.
