My opinion of F2P/Monthly fee games: If I pay a monthly fee, don't make it a requirement to spend in-game money to excel at my class. I'd rather have a monthly fee game with no in-game shop at all.

All the constant button mashing drives me nuts. Why have lots of pretty visuals when all you'll ever look at is your action bars?

I also prefer limited spell slots. Also, if there will be trolls in the game, they damn well better scratch their ass!

One thing I loved about EQ was that the faction/religion you chose for your character mattered. It affected how NPC's and quest givers interacted with you. It dictated where you could and could not go. That adds a ton of Flavor(tm) to the game.

Social interaction is one of the things that made EQ so fun. Nowadays, with most games, you don't have to speak to a single person if you don't want to. Why play an MMO and not interact with others?

I wouldn't worry about it being funded. I'm told they are going to use 1 retired EQ server for the games infrastructure.

As others have said, armor dyes suck and should not be in the game. I, too, loved being able to look at a character and know what gear they were wearing. It makes things more special.

Make AA's be just for "flavor" stuff. Earn 5 AA's and your character can make fart noises. 10 AA's and you can wear a pimp hat. 15 AA's you get a dog. 20 AA's your dog will poop on command. 25 AA's you get a lute to play to pull in chicks. You know, fun stuff.

Finally saw this. It is definitely better than the first one. I went in not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised.

I read all the books the old fashioned way, but I'm mainly an audiobook guy these days. Audible has the first four, but they seem to have stopped there for some reason.
