Why do you think only 14% of Asians are Republicans while 57% identify as Democrats? This is despite having a conservative culture based on a strong work ethic, and being fiscally conservative as well. It's because they know that the conservatives in this country are fucking racists. Every...

They make money from the cash shop because people enjoy the game and want to give them their money. Not because the cash shop gates any kind of progress in the game. (Because there isn't any, lolz!)

Well, I've gotten almost 1000 hours of enjoyment out of a game I paid 50 dollars for 10 months ago... I don't understand how you can say this company fucking sucks. Sure, the game could have better structured reward systems... but that could bring it's own problems too. It's a weird game...

Combat looks good in the videos, nice middle ground between WoW and GW2. Then again I think GW2 has great combat, just little reason to actually engage in it.

From the Vault is basically a giant blowjob from WotC to core and advanced LGSes, along with most of the other premium products that don't go to Walmart/Amazon, such as Commander's Arsenal. They print them, sell them to stores at 70ish percent of MSRP, then the store basically gets to use them...

It's the layout of the borderlands that makes zerging a problem, not the actual combat mechanics. That lake just takes up too much space that could be more small group objectives. And they could make the small group objectives more meaningful for helping you siege the local keeps.

Most of the dungeons are actually fairly dumb, it's just an exercise in trying to skip as much trash as possible, which is fun up until a point. Honestly, sometimes I feel the best content in this game are the hidden mini-dungeons/jumping puzzles.

They still think video games cause violence too, when pretty much EVERY home has a video game console now, and crime occurs at much lower rates than it did in the 70s, aka, before video games. If you were to chart video game ownership versus violent crime rates it would be inversely...

No, they won't do this. They did this with Mercadian Masques and learned their lesson. And by learned their lesson, I mean they lost a shitload of money. From now on, every large expansion is going to have: 2-3 metagame altering Legacy cards. Think Abrupt Decay, Snapcaster, Lingering...

Exactly. ALL sets are designed now under the NWO principles where commons have a cap on complexity. I would also say that haven't a valueless set like m14 is especially BAD for new players when they can't trade any of the cards they get for cards they need.
  27. Mist

    MTG thread

Yeah but I don't even see how this set is that exciting for new players either. Slivers is the big draw, and that's a bone to old casual players and not new players. Slivers took up way too much of the mechanical space in the set and there's just not a whole lot else going on. I wasn't a fan...
