The second playthrough was definitely the most enjoyable. I found the first playthrough to be a slog and took many breaks, but when I started the second playthrough I played it through to the end within a few nights.

Why not just rent empty servers out to people and let people build their own content with their own server rulesets? Okay I'm thinking up a business model right now. SoE charges you 200 dollars for an initial setup fee to have them host your own private server instance on their servers...

I agree, I could easily see this game ending up being the "worst of both worlds" in terms of having the worst aspects of sandboxes (ie no real overarching goals) while having the worst aspects of theme park games (no real player interaction.)

Yeah that demo was awful. That mob was clearly just scripted to go through it's preset animations and the characters were just flipping about around it.

This game looked good until they showed that live combat demo. All I saw was a bunch of spinning and particles and no actual impacts on the creature or any reaction animations from the creature.

Yeah I get that, but 8 is still too few, especially if they're counting those movement skills in there.

8 skills sounds awful. GW2 has 10 skills + the class mechanics (up to 4 more) plus skills that replace skillbars with 5 new skills, and even that is very limiting.

Apparently if you read the articles, the player claimed areas are permanently alterable.
