I'm in Pennsylvania, and began seeing Tax on my Amazon orders June/July of '12. It sucks, but it happens. They only tax you for items they sell directly, though. If you use a non-amazon vendor, even if it's fulfilled and shipped by amazon, you aren't charged any tax.
