At first glance I'd say the casting director / series producers do not have a firm grasp on the source material. This will be trash. Hope I'm wrong though and that it turns out to be a pleasant surprise.

Why wouldn't they? PC is the platform and 2k/Gearbox will be handling the servers, not Steam or Epic.

The HD texture pack showed that it wasn't "installed", but gave no way to install it. I did a file check, the restarted Steam and then it downloaded / installed.

I agree. The article makes it clear that the Edmonton teams leadership was inept until Darrah arrived, but even then they ignored the issues that the Austin team brought up (the team with actual mmo experience).

I want to make a snide remark about some of the Edmonton devs taking 1-3 month Stress vacations while theorycrafting Anthem. Its remarkable that they were able to release what they did, even with the game needing another 1-2yrs of cooking.

There is a codex entry that I stumbled upon explaining why we can't fly anywhere and why travel is either land-based or sea-based. The Shapers placed a jetstream over the continent/world which doesn't allow anything to get very high.

Gets even more amped if you do a couple things ingame.
