The thing about gun free zones is...they aren't. At least not on the college level. I know plenty of people that carry pistols at the school I went to, some with CHL's some without. The sign in the parking lot has never stopped them.

I completely agree, though that is not the only thing that needs some looking at. Personal responsibility is a beautiful thing. If you want to own something that powerful (I own lots of them!) then you need to be responsible for them.
