my new strat is stopping at 6 and just going for the flyers, it's working pretty good

9 is good too cause you have a high chance of getting that dragon which you can use your mana to clear the board in your favor by pinging for 3 i'd probably skip 8 tbh unless you're in a bad position and you have no choice (or skip a lower one if you have position so you can win at 10)

if you can beat your opponent to 10 and sustain you get that 16/16 everytime

lot of rng lol but ya, saving mana as long as possible to try to get drop tempo def increases the odds

ya me too, throw together some jank decks that still play well and queue up, you'll see there's a huge variety of decks in queue, good ones, but you'll rarely play them with meta decks or certain jank, it's like certain cards have preference to go against certain cards.

I think most the problems in this game are pretty minor compared with the fact that decks are weighted to queue against certain decks. For folks who put in some hours, it really stales the game and things start to get really boring when Deck A will go against deck B and C 80% of the time cause...

I use arena pro, works pretty good overall, could be much better I play 20ish games a day and ya, I'll go threw a few games of horrible rng in a row but overall i'd say it's consistent and most games play out 'fairly', or however you want to put it.

Lol do you track your games? Id bet your near or over 50% with that white deck from what little i see. I play mostly land destro or fog / mill lately and i sit around 50% and those are nowhere near the t1 meta decks, which ive gotten bored of. Either way, this game may not be for you.

it really is silly, just make it super quick/easy to build your shit so people can get to the fun stuff and just pvp/pirate each other the way it is just the giant zergs are gonna do any thing and they'll all get bored in a week or two. wife and I aren't gonna get it, no point

but with the proven longevity of mtg in general, there's no reason arena can't live much longer then the hyper dumbed down digital card games out there If they continue to build it out I don't see a reason why it doesn't overtake paper magic in both player numbers and revenue. but who knows

It has to be, no normal adult has the time/patience/effort to play fucking paper magic, even though it's fun. I couldn't imagine keeping track of all the bullshit that standard decks end up doing nowadays, let alone watching some nerdking across from me smirk as he plays some annoying fucking...

ya that's just how it is sometimes in mtg, you can get mana screwed or flooded at any point really I think it's worth it for the added complexity the game has, but it can get annoying.
