Oh ok I get what you are saying now, misinterpreted the post I replied to, although that sounds like twice as much work for the same reward as just dragging shitty boxes along so not sure how people will go for that.

Most 2nd mains with the possible exception of Bards, and Clerics that participate in CH rotations are just poorly played buff bots that soak up loot that would otherwise rot. Not sure if giving them loot over letting mains take it to sell would actually be a net positive for most guilds.

What if they made all the loot in PoP and beyond tradeable?

Yep, imagine having MTs selling off their gear for taco bell money and holding the guild back. If you think that's obscene and would be stamped out quickly by officers, then why should it be different for other classes?

Everyone laments the "good old days" and repeat the classic-pop treadmill ad nauseum expecting to recreate the experience. This is the sort of shake up the TLP experience needed IMO

TBF like him or hate him his guilds mostly ruled Coirnav and Mangler with lack of real competition.

Don't even need large raid forces, if a much easier raid target like Vindi can drop the same loot as AoW etc why bother with him when you can split down or just have a smaller raid force to do Vindi statue, idol, KT just as one example, this opens up a lot more options for raid guilds.

The only race on Aradune is EQBaby vs some entry on an obscure website that most people will never visit. Every other guild just wants to get into PoTime in a timely fashion for that loot pinata, but I guess there is also some recruitment value in having a higher position on the progress site...

I doubt they are actively participating because it would be so much easier to just generate loot or platinum out of thin air or something, but I have long suspected the reason the big raid dz LR sellers are never punished is because they are greasing the right palms.

Haven't they tried the race v race server and it just turned into an unbalanced clusterfuck with Evil faction ruling most of the server? Kinda like WoW PvP players tend to gravitate toward a server where their faction is dominant.

With the new catch up mechanic this is much less of an issue than it used to be.

EQ Devs/managers seem to prefer to keep heads firmly planted in the sand when it comes to what WoW is doing, and then pretend as if it has no impact on them.

Part of why people congregate in the same zones is because it's convenient to get to and there's a much higher chance of finding a group in a crowded zone with contant player churn. Compared to trying to put a group together to go do something somewhere else, it can take a chunk of peoples play...

If you're undead hunting in Luclin you can buy the spell instrument of nife if you haven't already which adds a sweet innate proc that helps with DPS vs undead. Ghoulbane might even be worth using if dex is high enough.

Enchanter has 3 ow only contested mobs so theirs is even worse. For levels 10-20 Unrest is still viable, or the Kunark equivalent would be Kurns Tower
