easiest way to do it would just be not spotting the ball and starting the play clock on clock stopping plays like incompletions or the runner going out of bounds. The ref can just stick the ball in his shirt for 10 seconds since the play clock doesn't start until the ball is spotted anyway...

I love the TNF games. Having that one game during the week to break up the work week monotony is awesome. Of course I also favor going to an 18 game regular season and expanding rosters to 60 but that isn't highly thought of either.
