    Fallout 76

Well, it's free right now as part of the show's promotion so no risk. I'm not that deep into it but it does feel like it's a bit light on lore perhaps due to the MMO side of it, but could just as well be because my appetite for reading everything at a computer terminal isn't what it used to be...

    Madame Web (2024)

Much more likely to have degeneracy like The Boys than the MCU if superpowers were real. But it's a no brainer. Any even remotely useful superpower would allow you to get/take Sweeny tier at will.

    Helldivers II

While I agree, I think they have a vision of the story they want to tell and are using major orders to tell it I think players might feel better if major orders were separated from the ongoing war map. Instead of saying "liberate these 5 planets in 3 days" have it be something like "kill 100...

This is the only significant pug issue I run into at medium difficulties. Use too many reinforcements, but that's not that big an issue in and of itself. But then people insist on closing every bug hole, die far away with no reinforcements left and lose out on some samples. Nothing game breaking...

I haven't messed with the Democracy Protects armor yet to comment on that passive but as it is, armor would have to provide a pretty noticeable benefit for me to change off scout. That waypoint radar is too useful for my playstyle.

If the rumored addition of mechs and tanks and whatnot are true I'm curious if that will only be for specific missions or if they add difficulty tiers or something. Assuming that mech guns are stronger than shotguns and assault rifles it might trivialize things.

What I heard was after the failure of the automaton liberation they put in an "easy" one but we got that to 95% in the first couple hours so they turned the dial to have a 20% decay rate per hour (up from 5%ish). As BrotherWu mentioned, that's probably fine during prime time but makes overnight...

You should be able to see the mission from the world map before you join. And if it's follow on missions you can see the map/briefing on the loadout screen.

Makes sense they have some kind of DM. They obviously have to manage progress somewhat dynamically. Last night steam was down 20% from the previous week and if we couldn't pass that mission there's no hope going forward unless the keep their hands on the knobs. Failing one or two general orders...

    Shōgun

Both of which were in the book, iirc, Mariko for sure. If anything I kind of got the opposite vibe of the Portuguese using women as their vector into the noble houses; girl power on the surface but really just pawns in the schemes of men.

I haven't seen it but there seems to be growing chatter about shitheads kicking people right before evac. Why you would do that in a 100% PvE co-op game I don't know. Probably the same dumb asses who last week were killing teammates before evac for their samples.

    Helldivers II

As it stands, 12500 requisition is not enough motivation for most people to worry about the overall war progress. The actual useful list of stratagems is small enough that requisition is probably the first resource you'll effectively cap and even if you want everything it's still easier than...

    Helldivers II

From hearing people talk about Helldivers 1 (I never played it so idk) it sounds like the galaxy map is controlled entirely by the devs. They can fall back or counter attack at their whim. I suppose the higher tier sectors/planets might have more extreme modifiers but I don't think there's any...

    Helldivers II

I could be wrong but from what I've seen each planet has a limited set of missions that appear on it. Probably the most consequential thing from liberating (or losing) a planet then is the change in missions. If the community likes or doesn't like a mission set I suppose there might be some...

    Helldivers II

The devs confirmed that only doing one out of three (or whatever) missions adversely impacts the liberated percentages. That's why Erata is going backwards. They really need to balance evacuate civilians a bit. You can blame eradicate farmers for failed campaigns but I'd bet there's an equal...

    Helldivers II

Yes, the defense missions are probably too easy especially with mortars but it seems like every sector has some type of mission that's either quick or soloable or both. I personally like having missions available like that where you know you can get something done in under 15 minutes but they...

    Helldivers II

Speaking of that, and maybe I just haven't seen or found it yet, but it seems like a pretty easy way to expand content would be to allow you to select modifiers/buffs/debuffs and maybe even mission types. Nerf xp and loot in that mode if needed to keep people from farming the easiest combos...

    Helldivers II

Is the difficulty scale up like 4 people = 4x solo or do you need close coordination and complimentary skills to make 4 people = >4x solo power. I don't mind playing with randoms but how much "teamwork" is required? Are there split objectives that require actual brain cells or can 4 people...

    Helldivers II

I know it's early and connection and matchmaking issues are abundant but how's this game for pugs? My friends list is small and don't play these kinds of games so I'd be reliant on random in-game and/or discord pick up groups.

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

What are you doing that you don't have room at some base for 3+ pals in a cake ranch? If you're willing to buy eggs/milk/honey from a merchant I would assume you're also buying ammo and other more complex items from the merchant so you wouldn't need a sulfur base and quartz isn't a recurring...

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

I agree, it shouldn't be, but despite the early access banner every time you log on the playability of this game really does feel like a 1.0 version. And lets be honest, how many current players are going to come back at real 1.0 release vs just playing the next pokeman/ark/rust early access...
  24. Downhammer

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

It will be interesting to see where things end up, but for the first weeks of early access you have to remember that pal spheres were performing below expectation while breeding was/is especially useful without any significant downsides. If the game evolves where pal xp is tougher and pal...

    Deadpool & Wolverine

Call me a boomer and PC master race but I'm not at all sad I only use my phone for texts, calendar, maps, spotify, and the occasional phone call. Sounds fucking exhausting to have to swipe through hundreds of videos to find something interesting. That's like going to the store and walking up and...

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

Cake is pretty easy once you get it set up. It's 100% self sustaining once you cap the right pals. A couple berry and wheat farms which you should probably have anyway. A couple cows, chickens, and beegard things in a ranch give everything else. Make flour a couple hundred at a time when you...

    Satisfactory

Part of the problem is much of the fun, for me at least, is discovering the tech tree, exploring the "world," and learning the shortcuts/tricks to optimize production. Once I've done that it's really hard to go back and replay even if they've made major improvements over time. I've already...

    Satisfactory

I agree with Tuco's assessment although I'd be curious what his end-state satisfactory might look like comparable to his dyson science world. He blew right by the "mission accomplished" achievement and started counting his science production in exponents.

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

Even if you fully embrace firearms it's just so much easier to buy ammo than make it. One black marketer kill drops enough gold for 100 rounds. You could also also argue the cost of pal spheres pushes people into breeding although the capture rate bug and inherited traits are bigger factors.
  30. Downhammer

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

There isn't really anything that requires multiple production steps, which is good because I don't think pals can collect finished products. The only exceptions that I run into are pal fragments in the crusher and flour. Those are easy enough to make a thousand at a time and collect to keep...

I've seen people talk about capturing vendors and using them as personal vendors. I've accidentally captured humans before but just sold them. How do the vendors work? Do you need them in your party or can you put them at your base and buy from them. I'm assuming they have no work suitability so...

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

I like Vanwyrms because they're flying lvl 3 transporting and their only other skill is kindling. They don't get distracted by anything else and don't seem to get stuck on geometry too much. I think they're also the smallest food consumer of the lvl3 transporters. A mix of Anubis and Vanwyrm in...

Bushi + cinnamoth = Anubis. Would normally be tougher since bushi are on volcano island except they kindly put a low bushi boss in the intermediate area.

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

I wonder if the original plan, or maybe future plan, is to have food specific to certain classes of pals. That would make multiple food pouches somewhat useful. Either that or the extra pouches are supposed to be for medicine. I'll admit I've done nothing with the medicine table beyond making...

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

So what you're saying is you want a Palworld Rimworld crossover and see how fucked up you can make your pals while still maintaining a functioning base.

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

Quick visit to the cooking pit and merchant and it looks like salad might be an acceptable cash farm. Sells for 120 and only needs lettuce and tomatoes so easily sustainable. Basically the same price as ammo and half enough for HQ oil. I might plant another plot each and just use that.

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

I haven't tried it yet but I hear you can double your drops by capturing, which drops loot, then butchering, which also drops loot. With the inconsistent success of capturing it feels like more hassle than it's worth but I guess it's an option.
  40. Downhammer

Palworld (Pokemon with Guns and Bukkake, minus the Bukkake)

Yea, I've been hitting the merchant but I'm not sure that's sustainable. Either I murder for oil or I almost murder for capture/sell/buy so it's basically the same. I guess I could try mass producing something sustainable in my base and sell that. Haven't explored that side of the economy yet...
