Tempted to pick up Blood Bowl 3 to learn the 2020 rules, but I've heard rumors they're going to reboot the rules again in 2025 or 2026? I'm going to be annoyed to find out all of my teams are incomplete because of new positionals when/if I ever return to the tabletop game.

Maybe WrestleQuest for $5.99. Usually anything else that looks interesting I find out that I already got for free on Epic or Prime.

Probably could have gotten some of these for free if I kept up with all the stuff like Epic games store, etc, but have been too busy. Here's my haul of games I'll probably never get around to playing:

Picked up Hacknet and its DLC for 4 bucks - hadn't heard of it before, but its description reminded me of some other console hacking game I played ages ago that I enjoyed but never finished.

Got Borderlands 3 for $3.

Jurassic World 2 for $3.

Robocop Alex Murphy Edition for $5.

Bit on Dave the Diver and Dredge for $20.

cyberpunk 2077 65% off and rdr 2 75% off are great, schedule 1 is 30% off and might tempt me to actually spend some of my steam hoard wallet

also free on steam

Ultimate Edition is $38.62 which I may just end up doing even though I'll literally never have time to play it.

Ultimate edition is worth it at full price. Don't believe the hype, on PC this game was fine day one. I just completed my 3-4 playthrough, 1st with the new armor/weapon system and DLC, love it!

Oh should have added for this sale I bought Knights of the new republic 1 & 2, and 25th edition System Shock 2 on GOG where you actually own your games. Turns out I never played the 1st system shock (no real idea why) so I am playing that now.

Don’t forget we were tracking the bug fixes, I was posting charts for it. It was thousands of bug fixes. The game was a buggy mess when it released. They fixed it but don’t deny that.

Too many bitches complaining about bugs in PC games, shit we spent full price on games in early days of gaming and they were barely functional. Yea they fixed thousands of bugs...that barely detracted from the game experience. Same with No Mans Sky, Marvel Heroes, and a ton other great games that got shit on because kids think a game needs to be flawless to be enjoyed.

Man that made me remember city of heroes. I never got to end game in that, but it was a blast to play at release. It was such a nice change of pace to play an MMORPG that wasn't high fantasy

Not to mention its almot certainly getting more content still.

My guess is a set of missions that tie into the next Netflix anime, hitting the unused chunks of the map before the sequel moves to Chicago, but whether thats free DLC or a for-money expansion is unclear.

I thought about Cyberpunk. I don't know much about it other than when it first came out people complaining. I only game with a keyboard and a mouse and not a controller. Just glancing it looks like it is more console oriented. Is it?

I don't recall intrusive console-itis, but the UI did get some attention post-launch to improve it. I've beaten maybe a dozen games in as many years as an adult with awful gaming ADD. Cyberpunk is one of those games. It's fucking pretty and it was decently fun to play, even before they were done iterating on all the fixes to get it to the state it is today. Not sure why I never made it back for the expansion content, but I'll get around to that some day I'm sure.

I haven't used a controller in 10+ years. I'm also not a huge fanboy for the game or the action/rpg-lite genre, but it was worth the time/money. I'd rate it on par with GTA5 and played it as such, where I skipped most of the busy work and focused on the story based missions. It has branching endings and the main story is a pretty good one. Driving with a M&KB was probably inferior, but the motorcycle was still easy to get around with.

No, it plays like it was made just for pc with keyboard and mouse. It had a bad release but it has been fully fixed and improved since. It’s now a really good game.

Don't miss it. It's plays phenomenally on PC. It's one of the best games ever made, especially in it's current state.

Thanks for the info. Going to pick it up. I know a number of games that have some kind of dribving in it don't work so well with keyboard and mouse.

While the driving is a bit better with a controller, it's perfectly fine with mouse and keyboard. The rest of the game is basically first person shooter gameplay.

I didn't play CP77 until a couple years after launch but I thought it was just fine on kbm. The driving is no worse (or better) than other PC driving games and suffers from the usual kb issues; 100% left or right input vs a controller that can partially turn. If you know how to feather a turn or drift it was fine. I recall less driving focused missions than GTAs but there are race and carjack missions that some find aggravating. It's easy to get arguably the best car, the hoon, as soon as you can free roam the map so finishing the driving missions is only necessary for 100%ers.

Hotswapping inputs is simple and seamless in CP2077, so just drive with a pad and do everything else with mouse and keyboard. Personally I think you're better off doing the opposite though; controller is at least equal and generally superior for everything but aiming power/tech guns and that's the only thing kb/m is actually useful for. If you're playing a build that's pure melee, smart guns, and/or quickhacks there's no point to using m/kb at all.

After not using a controller for long enough, it's hard to marathon a game for as long of a time with it. So if there is something like a gaming weekend planned, ones hands can get fatigued faster than the rest of the body. Not to mention needing to buy a controller for 1 game every 5 years or so (then finding it when the next game comes around), especially when you aren't a huge fan of genres where controllers are the superior control set up.

For example, my favorite games are 4x, RTS, and turn based RPGs (and EQ/WOW in the past), all of which are far better with M&KB. Sure I could play survival games like The Alters or Valhiem with a consoler, but at best, that might bring it up to 1 game a year where a controller is better (debatable). I also don't spend much time with those game (30 - 40 hours).
