I don't think we have a thread for it. Let's hear your takes.

My vote is for Ghost of Tsushima. Gorgeous presentation and smooth gameplay in a setting I am fond of. Was pretty clearly my front-runner and then we got a sweet multiplayer update for free that I would have happily paid for as add-on.

Runner up goes to Hades although I will not fault anyone for going with that choice, with honorable mention going to Immortals: Fenyx Rising.

Hades for me. Haven’t played many new games this year but that was the best for me.

Have Ghost on the shelf just didn’t get to it.

Is Cyberpunk worth getting now, or still a wait for stuff to get fixed thing?

For me it was Hades. Fun and addictive. Story and characters are all top notch. Voice acting and dialog never get old.

Among Us was a 2018 release iirc.

According to my steam purchase history I've only purchased two 2020 games in 2020, and these two certainly do not qualify (Doom Eternal and C&C remaster)

Tough call but I'd have to give it to Yakuza 7, with runner ups to Cyberpunk 2077 and Ghost of Tsushima. By sheer playtime Nioh 2 would win, but the DLCs managed to make me never want to touch the game again.
