Hi. Bears fan checking in.
  • No. 3 pick (which became Solomon Thomas)
  • No. 67 pick, Round 2 (which was traded to the Saints, who selected Alvin Kamara)
  • No. 111 pick, Round 4 (traded to the Seahawks, who selected safety Tedric Thompson)
  • No. 70 pick, Round 3 in 2018 (which became All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner)

I know a little about this test they have now, but boy did Stroud not do well. Not sure how much you can put into it but his stock has been dropping pretty heavy, assume this has something to do with it.

Kinda hard not to think about Lamar's 13 on the Wonderlic.

Didn't take much into the graphic at the time, but evidently Radgers will switch to his college #8 rather than use Namath's, even tho Namath said he would be happy for him to wear it.

Kinda weird all the supposed road block on the deal was the Packers wanting the Jets 1st (#13) this year outright as part of the deal with the Jets wanting to hold out for future 1st. So they basically send Rodgers and a 5th to swap up 2 spots in mid round 1 this year, get a 2nd and a 6th this year, and a 2nd next year that will end up a 1st if Rodgers stays healthy most of the season.

Think the sticking point was the 1st for next year. Packers wanted it regardless of how much Rodgers played and jets didn’t want to give it at all. Particularly if Rodgers decided to retire after this year.

A lot of the reports I read were about it being for Jets 1st this year versus next year. At #13 this year, could easily get a very valuable player, but if Packers settled for Jets' 1st next year, could be a pick in the 20's (with the presumption that a healthy Rodgers would lead that Jets roster to the playoffs at least).

A lot of the early reports we’re saying that just after Rodgers said he wanted to play for the jets but the past couple weeks I’ve been hearing it was always about the 1st for next year

Would make sense if they want it for next year. All the QBs are basically gone this year 1-3. So the Packers can potentially trade up right at the beginning of the offseason if needed.
