Commanders: B+

It's a weird draft to grade, we only had 5 picks, but you have to factor in that some of the picks were used to bring in Deebo, Tunsil, and even Lattimore. That said, Conerly is a guy who should compete/win the starting job at RT for us, with Tunsil holding down the LT spot. This could improve another position by letting Coleman slide inside to guard, as well. Conerly played LT in college, too, so assuming eventually Tunsil leaves after a few years, he can take over the LT spot once he has a couple seasons of experience in the NFL. I saw a few mocks with us taking our 2nd round pick, Trey Amos, CB from Ole Miss in the 1st round at #29. To get a potentially starting outside CB at pick #61 is a steal, and it could let Sainristrl go back inside to his normal position. Add in a 4.34 speed WR who also is a return guy (which we needed), special teams/developmental LB in the 6th, and a potential RB steal in the 7th with Croskey-Merritt, and I think we did pretty well.

Would have loved a trade back at some point to either get another pick or two this year or next back (we traded next year's 2nd and 4th in the Tunsil deal), but apparently when they were getting calls to trade back they just liked Conerly and Amos too much at those spots to trade back. The way GMAP has rebuilt our OL and CB room in just 2 years is crazy good. Hopefully enough tweaks elsewhere to keep us in the contention mix. I would like to sign a vet pass rusher, still.

Dolphins A-. All I know is the first 3 players we drafted weigh a combined 975 pounds or so, and I like Quinn Ewers as a 7th round pick for a backup QB.

Shit, they even said with the new stadium deal they weren't switching. Gotta deal with it now. New merchandise bought.
Hopefully they never win another ring until they change their name back.

I kinda wanna bet on it happening within the next 3-4 years. No jinxing though.

Harris has made it sound like its a no go, even waving off idea of any other name change (even to something other than Redskins...cause frankly Commanders is shit).

oh no, I meant a ring

Shit in today's NFL, it's tough to get past some of these teams. We are a little fortunate to play in the NFC, though, but have Philly in our division. Probably had some good luck playing that banged up a Detroit defense, as well. But we'll see how we follow up this past year now.

I know the team and the mayor have agreed on something of a deal but the council hasn't said anything? Far as I remember, they hold all the cards

Virginia would only build them a stadium if the changed the name back to the correct one, Redskins, last I read. Harris in private is 100% Redskins, however publicly he has to play coy. His people have been trying to get more tribes on board besides the Najavo Nation, who still use Redskins for all their teams/schools. Last time I checked the petitions to change the name back have 4-5 times as many names as the one that "forced" Daniels to change it.

Redskins Draft grade for me B-

The fact that they finally took a tackle in the first round after needing to since 2020 made me giddy.

The problem nowadays is they could have 9 to 1 sigs to change it back, the league will cater to the 10% just because if someone is offended, they can't have that. Maybe if/when Goodell finally retires?

Cowboys A+

We're going unfuckingdefeated next year boys. We might not ever lose a game again.

I've been saying since the middle of last season that we weren't a player away, we were 1000 lbs of players away. We needed O line, D line, and linebackers and we got it. Sure I wish we could have picked up a WR, but when tet was gone and nobody was interested in a trade, I'm glad they didn't reach for one. That's why I didn't mark them down for a lack of a WR. The grade should be indicative of how they did, not how lucky they got. The CB who should have gone in the first round if not for his injury is just icing on the cake. As far as I can recall, those kinds of picks have always worked out well for us. Especially when the surgery was done by the cowboys team doctor. My biggest concern of the draft is that Blue has a history of fumbling. But I'm willing to give the coaches a chance to fix him so I can jump up on Sundays and yell YOU'RE MY BOY BLUE! I was also hoping for a bigger D lineman to play nose. real grade B+/A because they played the hand they were dealt well and impr0ved the team where it needed it most. Jerrah has some work to do in free agency.

Sad ending to a pretty amazing career. Tucker has just not been reliable the past 2 years, at least not at the level everyone was used to see him perform (especially 50+ yards). Not sure getting cut was completely about the accusations, but it gives the Ravens a good excuse to cut him now. He's not washed up by any means, just not truly dependable anymore.
Curious what happens if he beats the accusations and teams are desperate for a kicker this coming season.
